This month will be telling on where we are. I don't expect the points to be like October but I hope to see a team playing hard and maybe coming out around .500 . Agree with this. Winning ugly is still ugly.

Ages with your assessment of running around when being heavily forechecked. Haven't noticed the line change issue but I'm watching games on tv so it's hard to notice as I may if at games.

First time in what seems like ages that whatever is needing fixing is not the coaching. That's been fixed I believe.

I'm still of the opinion that we underachieved last season. I think we should be better significantly this year but I entered the season thinking challenge but miss playoffs and still feel that way. Our schedule for the next month is challenging and we should see by mid December pretty much where this team is in it's development. Happy with the coaching.

This team has looked pretty ragged in their own end in all but a few games thus far.

There's not any commercial I will ever miss in sports.

I think Eagles by 7. There remains in me the feeling our record is not indicative of our team overall. Offensively we've shown we can move the ball and we can give it away. Defensively I think they are very good and then seem soft at critical times. Although they've improved some in defending late in games when protecting leads but they still can scare in last two minutes games and halves.

Watching the games makes me wonder if we need an upgrade of personnel or more commitment to defending in their own end. We go through periods of backing off and allowing teams too much time and space. That's why opponents shot totals climb. Fortunately our goaltending has been very good.
