  1. Not die. Just give me Boston team and I'll trade you ours.
  2. Pegulas are you watching? Do you see what hockey (not fantasy hockey) looks like? When you see the Bruins do you see what a hockey organization looks like? Man this is depressing!!!
  3. Ok, I'll trade you the Bruins for the Sabres any day of the week. You don't like them? I would love to have them. Their everything I wish we were.
  4. I think for me it's appearance more than a hard judgement. Pegulas operations appear to be hiring people based on familiarity. It's true that they tried hiring "hockey" people without success but that could simply be bad judgement not wrong route taken. I really hope it all works out but I'm one who's moved from Pegulas supporter to real doubt about their ownership.
  5. I think we agree, actually. Old school is back in the day of having enforcers but enforcers who brought nothing else to the game. It finally led to stated fights. On the other hand you have to have players who play hockey at the NHL level and be able to protect your star players. Players who don't cough up the puck to escape taking a hit. Goal scorers who take a hit to s ore a goal ect. Are we lacking that? Yes, but it's not topping the list of what we're lacking. Sorry taking so long.
  6. Many fans don't say it but they want old school nastiness and fight they just don't say it. Winnie g battles and puck possession is not in the back of their minds.
  7. I'm almost convinced that true journalism is a thing of the past.
  8. I'm not as leery of this as many. Players move around now so much.
  9. Specifically how do you think it is?
  10. Hey, anyway we can "cash in" and take an entry level draft??
  11. I'm fortunate living in a rural area I've been able to finally do all three.
  12. Not putting down. The need for a 2C but we need scoring period. I think a scoring winger is important as well.
  13. The draft lottery has to be toward the top of the stupid ideas in professional sports.
  14. I'm almost 100% thinking the Pegulas have gone from big hopes to they don't have a clue. They seem to want a brotherhood not a team organization.
  15. My guess? No he's not a fit. And that's why we are where we are.
  16. I think all things considered , mostly the owners, I put the chances pretty slim we see Dudley in the organization at any level. He's not a yes ma'am or man.
  17. We pay a high price for a guy who may not want to be here? Not sure I'd want to risk that.
  18. Well yes the Sabres can do that? . Also is the factor that at my age (77) I'm not to interested in futures.
  19. Most drafts , at least NHL drafts are usually only interesting when it involves meaningful trades. Frankly I hope they package our eight pick to get offensive help. Our first and one of our rostered players hopefully could add to our scoring.
  20. Guess this is where I'm at.
  21. Wouldn't be surprised that you're right on here. That allowed them to do what they did with the GM position.
  22. I voted yes with fear and trepidation
  23. The only thing that would make sense is that the Pegulas were going to purge those other positions. They told Botterill to do it . He knowing he was not going to be around after this coming season told ownership no to the purging and they then fired him. I think the Pegulas were going to keep Botterill for one more year but that was all. When Botterill refused the purge then they fired him. Decision was after the end of year presser by Botterill.
  24. Still be can spread it to more vulnerable people. We are risking this. I know many don't seem to care but isn't it time to cancel these sports seasons?
