Actually the Sabres played a decent period. Of course my bar may be a bit low now. -
Matt Ellis would be so Sabre like.

My birthday is today (78) and my son in law happens to be a chef. Guess where I'm having dinner! Question should I watch Sabres before dinner or skip it so my stomach is good to eat. -
I still think he survives the season then is let go.
-
Yes, he's a rental for a playoff team. A first and prospect would be surprising for me. Even though it would be late first rounder. I would guess second rounder if team signs him converts to first.

Frankly, Hutton is so far from the problem in this game..

No GM has full authority in my opinion given your description.

NHL Trade Deadline April 12 —What Would You Like To See Happen?
Radar replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Hall value as a playoff rental is not as great as many might think. Sign and trade might be possible but I'm not sure. -
My guess is Krueger survives season but let go then. Only question is do the Pegulas bring in someone to oversee the whole hockey operation. That rumor seems to have gone silent. Not sure it would be easy to find such a person who is qualified and would still want the job.
-
Exactly. They are in a small market and there is a reason they remain there normally. One, they don't want to relocate, or two they aren't advancing in their careers. Sports radio overall isn't all that great in my opinion. Frankly on equal ground with forums such as this as far as information goes except for interviews.

True but all owners have "full" authority when it comes right down too it. Question is do they intervene with that to nix a GM decisions.
-
He may not be but that's just part of the problem. Unfortunately the biggest problem may be one not easily fixed. Initials TP and KP.

More jock talk

In other words this weekend negates the past games? Really. I know you're trying your best to find positives but , as expected, this side show confirmed my worst feelings. I think Kevin is a nice guy and I feel sorry for him in many ways but quite frankly this was a guy who should not have been in this position. The only hope is our clueless ownership brings in someone capable of running a hockey franchise.

What a freakin disaster!

Jock talk. Just like this media event.

Had to just turn this bs show off. Pegula you're gutless and don't have a clue. Stick to development but get out of hockey.
-
Terry should come out and take this heat. Kevin has been sent out. Pegula shame on you. You're responsible. Period. Kevin is at this point the scapegoat for owners.
-
The problems are pretty obvious anyway.

I think you nailed it. The problem now is not related to the tank whether you were pro tank or anti tank. It's what's transpired post tank that's our problem. Poor management of assets and poor hiring. This organization needs pretty much an overhaul and that's top down not bottom up.
