I believe he's a tradeable asset. I am not concerned with his becoming a UFA a year from now.
-
I disagree on the degree of your disdain fot Risto. Do I think he's a #1 or #2 defenseman? No not on a good team. Still he is not as bad as you think in my opinion.
-
He has not played enough games to be valued at where many seem to value him. I like him but in my opinion don't understand some wanting to expose Risto and protect Borgen.

Who do you want the Sabres to draft 1st overall in 2021?

Point is there will be people who will most likely will not agree with our moves. If we pick Power first overall or a forward there will be some who will voice disagreement. Same with any trades or no trades. -

Oh, but they will be pissed you can rest assured of that. -

I went Power #1 and Eklund next. Would be open to taking both in opposite order. -
I think possibly that day has passed. Free agency and money have replaced loyalty. I suppose if I cared to search long enough I'd find exceptions.

David Pagnotta: Sabres Exploring Trading Okposo to Seattle
Radar replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
I was of the belief you had to protect NMC contracts. So this would have to be a trade that he approves. He can't be exposed for the expansion draft. -
Going against the tide. Voted no. Maybe wishful thinking but I feel it's 50/50 Jack is traded period. Best case scenario for me they extend Rhino and keep Jack. Go out and get a true #1 goaltender. With improvement from our young guys this would be a playoff team. Unfortunately I think Rhino is gone and even odds Jack as well.

No need. Thanks anyway. Just tired of this dribble about owners I'm on record as having criticized. But enough is enough.

Maybe too little to late. Email sent.

Big deal. So was I.
-
I respect your opinion. I have been a Sabres fan since their inception. Not a big deal if the preponderance of my posts are anti franchise. He obviously is obsessed with the Pegulas in what seems a personal issue as much as an ownership issue is now well over its shelf life in my opinion. When it becomes a negitive to be here then it's time.

Sorry but frankly I'm about to chill totally out. Cancel my account but don't give me warnings for abusive behavior.
-
Your purpose for being here is a personal agenda against the owners. Secondary to that is the Sabres. Check your own posts. And as to this response...... Rich and back at you. Ignore feature activated.

It's true you're very predictable on criticising. It isn't any other poster and you had to have your head under a rock as it's been all over WGR and the Instigators. Seems you almost tried to find where it wasn't promoted so we'd endure another bashing of a team you're having a hard time convincing me to you're not hoping they fail. Sorry but it's so old.

Please!! Tell us. So, why would tbey interview? Asking for a friend.

Still think we're splitting hairs and saying the same thing. Winning is the priority. You play to win. Reality is you don't win every time. When Granato speaks of improvement the one (improvement) should lead to more winning.
-
Winning probably is the priority but how you meet that priority is the question. I don't have reason to believe winning isn't the priority but it's a question of the best way to get there. That involves development.
-
Pretty good assessment. Coaching is important but good coaches need good players. Coaching needs to be able to utilize players correctly.
-
Possible answer. That's not my job. Correct answer and as it should be.
-
Depends on who you think is quality. Top free agent in or solid players for depth. I think as I've stated top free agents usually aren't a great deal. There are exceptions but that's what they are. Look at all the bad contracts that teams have made compared to the exceptions. Fans love to see them for splash but then it is over and you saddled with it. Fans wanted Skinner signed.......well.

History would say we can. Cap space, only so many teams, would say we can. Boils down to the money and term. Would we be in running for all? No. Further fee agency, in my opinion, is more often bad investment.
