You may be right or I maybe. My "evidence" is about the same as yours which in both cases is just our opinions. My opinion is he will be traded and for less than many thought the return would be. I think teams that you say "don't know crap" at least know more than we do.
-
I've felt right along that the closer to deadline day the less I expect. I have to believe our GM just hasn't had offers at this point rather than he's just holding out for more. I'm prepared to be underwhelmed by the return. Don't think they will settle for nothing by keeping him. Teams know that.

Unless you're 75 like me in a couple weeks. Tired of suffering and tanking and rebuilding. Give me a team that I enjoy watching as soon as possible. Maybe if I'm thirty years old even fifty years old but I'm losing interest quickly.

Yardbarker had article today saying Sabres May have waited too long to move Kane and thinks his value has dropped considerably. I agree.
-
I really think our lack of scoring has been the biggest problem not our defense. So any defenseman we get better contribute to offense. Maybe we were so focused on need for defensemen we are not focused enough on getting much better up front.

My hunch is that Kane will fetch much less than fans expect. One he's a rental in all likelihood and two, he's still, I believe, looked at as a character risk. His career stats will be considered not just last season and October and November of this season(really hasn't produced much since). Overall Sabre fans may have him over valued. Botterill is apparently asking much more than, I think, other teams will pay.

Now that there's funny.
-
I swear if they keep him I'll quit listening to games.
-
How could I have missed that? Of course that's what we hope but why after seeing his production drop and not improving his line mates play is he still being used in obviously an unproductive way. Whatever Phil has done isn't working. Hopefully they know what their doing because from the fan perspective it's not looking all that effective.
-
One thing they were talking about on WGR today that I had thought about. The way Housley is using Kane is possibly hurting his trade value by playing him on lower line. His production has suffered . Don't pay much attention to WGR but I have been thinking about this for awhile myself.

I can think of several candidates of those. No problem culling that herd.

The poster who was quoted about kicking the owners a.. Well buy the team then we can all have the satisfaction of kicking yours. Are they the most sports astute owners? Probably not and they are relatively new at it. I'm glad to finally have owners with financial resources and also believe really care. I may be in minority but Terry and Kim I'm glad your here. Sometimes I wish you were more visible though.

I think Housley was Botterill's choice. I was certainly not against the hire. Having said that Housley has failed to advance the team and I think they have actually digressed under him. Do I think he should go? No. I think it's too early for that. I felt they shouldn't have fired him to begin with. Darcy needed to go but any new GM normally wants to name his own coach. Darcy fired Ruff and bought a bit of time for himself but his fate had been sealed. Ruff is a good coach.

I'm with you on that. I honestly don't think Pegula meddles in things but he definitely needs help in getting the right people in place. I haven't given up on the GM he's got at least couple seasons to make that evaluation. Coach? That's another thing. -

As much as I supported his hire I'm becoming more and more concerned about him as head coach. Particularly as a first time coach having what it takes to save a sinking ship. He had a lot of defensive help with the Preds and probably that made him look good. -

Rob is just bad at analysis. Once in a while his banter approaches humorous. -

Maybe but I had the impression he was more into hockey than football. Who knows but this is pathetic. -

I know our owner and GM are not vocal and stay out of spotlight but are things bad enough that maybe just a press conference to acknowledge how bad it is and they are as dismayed (I assume they are) as the fans and will be working to correct this train wreck. At least it may help the total fan hopelessness that I think exists. Both the GM and owner need to be more visible in my opinion. -
KO hard to trade right now. ROR? Why would we want to trade him? Speed? I'm thinking some are on the speed wagon at the cost of good solid play. I maintain ROR is only second to Jack on the no trade list. So you trade Reino who's only argument for keeping is he was such a high pick.

Stupid. Are you offended by that. Being"ashamed of the human body and It's responses" I'm not. Using that in the context it was is to me a totally unnecessary. Further, are you saying that the poster isn't responsible for what he posts without regard for others? Sorry, I don't find your post offensive just a bit hair scratching. Further moderators please feel free to cancel my account. I came here to discuss hockey not bodily functions.

I'm sure if your married or have daughters particularly these are your normal terms of conversation. I don't consider myself puritan. I'm going to be seventy five next month,a veteran and as they say "this ain't my first rodeo" but this type of posting is offensive to me and I'm imagining to many others. Thanks for the replies.

Posts like this makes me think a maturity test should be given before registration accepted. Impressed again........here's your sign!

When I read this I looked back to the day Pegula had his press conference after purchasing the franchise. What a contrast of the happiness and excitement that day to now when fans express feelings of total lack of interest and dismay. It's something I would not have predicted.

Don't believe there is a chance of Tavares coming here and I'm not in favor of trading ROR at all. Next to Eichel he is not for trade hopefully. I think all this message board talk has some greatly diminishing what an excellent player he is. This speed thing is now the buzz word. ROR is not fast but his smarts and overall play at both ends makes him in my mind only second to Jack on this team.
