  1. Nm I see he was at development camp. Differing rosters I suppose
  2. Is Costantini still Sabres property?
  3. Have to think we’ll end up with at least one
  4. This is how we win
  5. With any luck he’ll be our Mark Stone in a few years
  6. Leading by example would be a captains primary function in 2024 I’d guess
  7. Pass on what you have learned. Failure. Yes failure. The greatest teacher, failure is
  8. We don’t seem to have any rookies actually pencilled into the lineup at this time unless I am much mistaken. Because we don’t seem to be strictly counting on any outright, or at least don’t appear to be, im starting to gradually warm to the idea we might get some unexpectedly beneficial results from one of them aka the pool. When available spots decrease, the likelihood we can fill them internally from youth obviously goes up: can one surprising youngster emerge from the several we have champing at the bit? I think yes.
  9. I dunno, I think there’s a few guys I could see capably taking up the mantle. I just like Benson and wanted him to have it. Not a prediction Though I suppose the Dahlin / Tuch part is: I do think Dahlin definitely gets the C.
  10. The rare active GM / prospective NHLer dual threat? It’s been a while
  11. Dahlin C Tuch A Benson A
  12. I rest my case
  13. Spend more
  14. It’s been proven it CAN work, if you pick the right players. That doesn’t make you an apologist. I don’t think anyone is saying it absolutely cannot be done. The Carolina team you point out is the same one Brawndo did: the exception that proves the rule. It doesn’t serve the argument because the most notable aspect of that team making it was that it was an anomaly in doing so. We know that team existed: it exists in the framework of the 2/160 that made the playoffs under the cap terms they did, in the last 10 years. The issue is the unlikelihood, not they they’ve chosen an impossible plan Now, change the equation to this team AT SOME POINT developing into one of the examples? Makes it more likely. But that ETA is very likely synced up with the cap returning to form’s ETA the length of time we are supposed to be waiting around has been, well it’s been the key issue since Adams took over. The more things change the more they stay the same. We are still saying the same thing: when? to me, it’s never really been about “if”. Of course they will EVENTUALLY make the playoffs again. The contention is the timeline is putrid relative to league standards
  15. I know, it’s horrible for you. But I’m actually trying to gain a bit of weight. No excuses, but there you have it. It’s only 6 cans each. Well, that, and the fact that ice cold coca-cola from a can is the greatest drink ever created
  16. Ya I mean once there’s no internal cap I’ll be happy to admit there isn’t one. Not that there never was one, mind you (and mind the I told you so’s) but that Pegula has lifted the constraints, definitely. I’d imagine you expect them to be removed next season at the latest?
  17. Should be noted I partook in all of this while paying 5 bucks for this much Thai noodle salad now THAT’S obnoxious
  18. Thread more so makes me feel like I’m drinking Grey Poupon
  19. I understand the need to pretend the contraints are gone but like, if we look at the data, it’s pretty obvious they are not. I can’t really argue against the position of “I understand we always don’t spend, but maybe it’s just a coincidence.” If the data illustrating to a fact that we aren’t spending isn’t enough to prove we aren’t spending, there’s no argument I can make that meets your criteria There is no card I can play beyond pointing out the fact of the matter that we aren’t spending At least, you can probably appreciate: it comes to the same thing, if we aren’t spending it, no matter who made the call - Blame Terry, blame KA, someone made the choice hell, blame me
  20. Good post. Of course Adams is “targeting” playoffs, but it remains “playoffs, while spending less”, and therein lies the rub. To make the playoffs, the priority almost always needs to be “playoffs.” That is assuredly not the case, right now. As you mentioned, his “true” target is probably next year. Do you think Terry will loosen the budget constraints by that time? If so, then I think it would be reasonably stated to say their goal would be “playoffs” next season. As, it would no longer be about “winning, but only while spending less.” Hope they get in this year ahead of schedule then, so I’m around to see it I agree though: it’s unlikely for a team with this payroll to make it this year but it’s not impossible: you point out some good things to hope for I tried I failed. From my point of view the Sabres are evil!
  21. @PromoTheRobotdo you believe the fans are wrong to say the owner has failed us and we should expect better? That we should be grateful to have a team at all? ain’t no way I’ve followed your twitter for years to have you let me down on this one.
  22. I honestly give up You do not think his endless suggestion the fans are “stupid” for thinking better is possible (the context of the tweets) is analogous to saying fans shouldn’t be complaining about things not being better whatever lol that you think cascade’s quotes are closer is definitive proof of your absurd bias towards me. Block me please. Or ban me if you won’t stop responding to my posts with your drivel so tired of being strong armed by a “moderator” who follows me around spouting objectively incorrect nonsense just to disagree with me
