  1. I agree. It’s a “best case scenario the deal and player/role asked of him (relative to winning) is reasonable” type deal. And the floor is lower
  2. Button says the sabres moves are devoid of all logic
  3. Not enough to make me think Adams is necessarily locked in for next year. I’ll hold out hope
  4. Botterill seemed to have the best credentials. I believe he was league recommended. And since Pegula doesn’t understand the principles of mathematics, he’s seemingly sworn off candidates with a shred of qualifications based on a solitary failure. but I’d hazard to say even that is inaccurate because, again, Botts wasn’t fired due to performance reasons. Terry is mad at the league for recommending someone with a spine? the owner is full of shite
  5. It’s a salient point: the next GM Terry fires for performance reasons will be his first We don’t care about winning
  6. Exactly. It’s like the old saying: a puncher’s chance. When you are that bad a GM, you always have a punchers chance of being shitcanned
  7. It’s funny, you can look at the draft capital we STILL have in combination with the young draft pedigree on the roster…and the CAP SPACE…the fanbase starved for a winner… you really can see the bones of a fantastic set-up for a prospective GM. If only we had any desire to attract candidates interested in winning, that is.
  8. The league’s youngest team, the Sabres have their full complement of picks headed into the ‘25 draft and an additional 3, for a total of 10 draft picks
  9. I agree. We aren’t drafting mentally weak players. This is all nurture
  10. I think the Sabres are in my neck of the woods later this month Was hoping there’d be a little something more on the line haha
  11. Unless it’s in a good hockey trade I’m inclined to agree
  12. They don’t need a major roster overhaul. The need a major overhaul to their thinking.
  13. Still see it being more likely he ends up at W. Middle 6 not a bad bet
  14. I’ve seen calls to move him, and admittedly I haven’t seen a ton of him in action this season but I’d be hesitant to trade Cozens unless it’s a very solid return. We just don’t have very good centre depth - I don’t know that any centre addition Adams is liable to make has a better shot of being a 2C than the likelihood of Cozens finding his game. Sure we can point to a McLeod but it’s a rather small step up. Cozens is the type of player I’d move AFTER addressing the need at centre: though yes admittedly Adams usually moves the player and worries about the backup plan later
  15. That, and the fact he’s not an nhl goalie
  16. McKenzie mentions Jets would be interested in Dylan Cozens as 2c
  17. Kevyn Adams trade tracker: http://blogs.mtdv.me/articles/-mPvrWTwNY
  18. The fragile psyche you speak of is a product of youth being brought up in an environment with no expectations
  19. In intention or result or both
  20. Exudes zero confidence. Frequently says quiet part out loud. “Palm trees”. Wants others to be aware of excuses in advance. Lays groundwork for failure in advance. Because success isn’t actually planned, or the priority
  21. What letter score would you give the goaltending overall in the 5 seasons the team has played under Adams?
  22. It’s not even bad luck. He’s often hurt. Sure the term and $ don’t sting but it’s not really about that: it’s about if rostering him prevents us from rostering someone better in the name of winning. The bar lowers when he plays only 50-60 games a season
