Rasmus Dahlin, paces over an 82 game frame: 20 goals, 70 assists, 90 points (tech. 91), 109 PIM, +33 A 90 point d-man. A lady byng...will not be in his future. But he will rack up over 100 penalty minutes inflicting pain on the other team as a rugged franchise D-man with a mean streak. The penalty minutes are fun because for a finesse player, it's reflective of detriment. Dahlin is simply depositing some value for later in an 82 game season. We got That guy on D

Don’t know what this means, so: yes

It’s not the Okposo is a 4th liner thing again, though. (I’m the guy who’s always supporting that argument when you make it. Sigh. I digress) It was that a guy can get 15 mins not playing on, to use the term YOU introduced, the “Top 3 lines”. If you don’t believe in line designations re: playing time, why did you use the term top 9 then? logically, then, since we know you don’t necessarily buy into designations, you must be referring to the 3 centres who we know will be occupying those spots. Incorrect? so, no, not “oh god” thorny, just me pointing out that penciling him in to those lines, specifically, seemed an unsure thing at this time ya, 14-15 a night, I agree. cool cool as for “likely” being “not an option” for you: we are very different people. I don’t believe in absolutes like that. He could get traded. Who knows. I said likely.

Not given the opportunity lol what the hell top 12 is interesting, seems arbitrary, so it’s obviously not

I had no other card to play. The standard I was trying to argue for was that the Greenway deal was in *some* part about aiding the team’s push this year and I couldn’t get even that concession Nothing more for it

I feel like if they had their way Savoie would somehow make it - winning games needs to come first, but if he’s a top 12 forward in camp / first 9 by rights I don’t think they’d be LOOKING to send him back - I know the cap thing but perhaps that’s balanced out by the dev concern of MS in juniors in which case it can be straight up based on merit

Not sure I buy it. Does he have a source?

edit: whoops. Think you meant this year. Oh well, leaving this up - - - Why not a little camp competition? Throw in Savoie and co? it’s kinda amusing we’ve gone from “iron sharpens iron” to “clear the runway!” in how we are penciling in linemates I think JG has a good shot to give us a little help this season, and he’s in the mix to provide some value for us next season and going forward, as well. Buy I’m not pencilling him in to a role, full stop, NM t-9 Stillman has term, too. Guaranteed Sabres mainstay, next season? Many things uncertain. Future murky. Ask again later.

Another thing that shouldn’t be downplayed, re: Paul Yserbaert’s comments is messaging: Detroit just “lost out” on JVR when he seemed to be coming and presumably their fans are also hoping for deadline action to help their playoff pace. the old, “oh, they are ahead of us, WE are still playing with found money” spin is fan temperament 101

Knew you’d have one of these up immediately @GASabresIUFAN I see Greenway is listed as a LW wherever I look, does he actually play the right? Both sides?
