  1. win today, win our game in hand, mere 9 points back (with a likely Habs loss today) two 6-1 stretches to wrap up after that and we are in
  2. *that wasn’t what the post I responded to was talking about* I am severely struggling to see what you are missing here It’s actually very possible for me to take issue with deals being refused due to analysis of timeline and be ok with a pick not moved because of reasons due to lack of return I reiterate: we should not be avoiding the dealing of any prospective asset due to our stage of build if it is incredibly important to you to explain that no one will offer a reasonable return, anyways: again, so be it. I have no opinion on that
  3. Then so be it. But I wasn’t arguing with this future argument I didn’t know you were going to make. Again - my issue was with the idea it should be ruled out due to where we are at re: stage of build.
  4. Point was made smartly on twitter that there’s no real issue with deal but also no reason to do it so soon: ie they don’t care about opportunity cost, as the tweet explained. I agree with the tweet’s conclusion that it likely means we won’t be doing much. Would repost but it’s protected. Have you SEEN our last 10?? We almost have to (…we do we prop these guys up..)
  5. I don’t watch enough of the current game to conjure up answers I’d be happy taking my time defending when pressed, without doing research right now I don’t want to. If some scenarios were presented though im sure I could pick between them / find out about where my line is
  6. I don’t need to tell you anything - my viewpoint wasn’t the one disregarding a particular option on its face. The straw man arguments while a fun distraction ultimately go no where - of course im not advocating for trading it for an unworthy return. Why would I? point I disagreed with was in fact the pigeonholed strategy. It ruled out trading a “top 5 pick” due to the “stage we are at” bogus. Should only be return based. my point was that it shouldn’t be ruled out. You’ll need to ask him do do the math on why we can know, already, someone CAN’T offer a worthy return
  7. People can’t even commit to the bit. “Oh ya ya fire Adams! Sell the team! Youngest team in hockey again! Losers…. …Top 5 pickz? No im banking that for the future.”
  8. Nonsense. “This stage of construction.” Kevyn Adams, is that you? Field a freaking playoff team. It’s a year-over-year endeavour.
  9. Like if the cutoff drops to 86 today, it wouldn’t take a miracle for it to be 84 at the end. The Sabres going 12-4 isn’t near-impossible. Like we are still in “very unlikely” territory but it’s not out of reach the playoffs are coming TO us, it’s so funny we likely don’t grab them this year
  10. They’ll probably make it if they go 14-2 Rangers and Habs are both losing today
  11. Rest of season I’d assume
  12. He can get lucky. Shouldn’t be in a position to but he can
  13. We need a good offseason from the GM - - - “Learning to play together.” Multimillionaire multi year pros who’ve been playing team hockey their whole lives. That’s peewee stuff, literally Bill of goods stuff, truly
  14. He’s just a stranger on the bus
  15. If I’m a man of my word I can’t do this if Adams is back Shall see
  16. I understand the inclination, hope springs eternal. I truly do. Where I have fun with it is how, nearly unbeknownst to the fan base, frog/hot water esque, we’ve lowered the bar so thoroughly over time for what even is the “great finish, look at us now!” We are 3-7 in our last 10. Theres no meaningless run to 9th: that would be a crazy improvement The “turn around” is literally winning one game. Ie - it’s there, if you want it, any season, any time
  17. They probably only need 14-2 cause we’d likely have the tiebreaker on Montreal at 88
  18. We probably do it there’s no stopping Kevyn Adams
  19. We’ve lost the plot being in the wilderness for so long. “End up well.” It already did: they are playing competitive hockey into the playoffs. “Oh no, what are the affects in 3 years?” is a sabres thing. We’ve been conditioned. They have tried to condition fans to think we may harm the future by trying to be too good, now: in reality, they are actively *harming* the future by not finding a way to be good, now
  20. That doesn’t let Adams off the hook at all it’s in line with his points. Accumulating prospects is easy
  21. It needs to be the principle point of contact to be illegal Making contact with the head is not necessarily illegal this is not a commentary on what SHOULD be illegal
