Speaking of which I’m so thrilled they kept Cozens at C. Plenty were thinking he should shift to wing to accommodate a Mittelstadt stay at C. Cozens 6’3, 200 ft of ice impression is made for the middle of the ice -

I appreciate the twitter content the official feed puts out a lot now, while at the same time finding/realizing I’ll never be able to fit in with the new school crowd that’s arisen around it. I’m not sure exactly when it happened but Stan Twitter has crossed over yo the NHL: almost all the quote tweets are from those in their early 20s saying things like OHHHHHH OMGGGGG SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UP BABY 🥺 - - - 🤣. I’m old. -

I’d imagine with the roster as currently constructed, our “no bueno” if we lose ‘Em players are: Dahlin, Thompson, and Samuelsson. It’s possible Tuch is like that and Cozens is closing. But, paradoxically, I think once more than a couple join that group...the group would then actually shrink or cease to exist: the more truly good players we have the better we’ll be able to withstand losing guys -

I’m sure he’ll get another shot. At the same time it’s ok to expect plus-performance from a roster player including goalie, if he NEEDS the ideal set up to be a starter, I don’t know if he’s a long term option at said starter position. He’ll have to come in and really string a few quality wins together to turn the tide. I’d like to see it -

Ya in the off-season that was the big play with him, unfortunately by that same token though his analytics this year have been not good. Considering he didn’t have an established sample size as a starter and the metrics were all we were betting on, I can’t just dismiss the poor ones thus far still think he gets another shot -

Samuelsson’s deal looking like a good one and a pretty slick call to go LT that soon. Probably the correct value sweet spot too, as he appears to have a significant affect on our D and at the same time hasn’t registered a point this season. So, had we waited, I don’t think his deal would have gone up extravagantly as points pay the most, but we certainly saved some and more importantly - the bullseye evaluation is what gives promise -

And plenty of starts we hung Andy out to dry. Andy has stood on his head too. Memories are short. Comrie has looked weakest of 3 though -
Very fair assessment.

Disagree. He didn’t look good his first game, and Andy has had some really nice moments -

And Cozens had 6 in his first 8. So he’s sat consistently at that .75 rate. Personally I enjoy having a 2 way guy with that offensive consistency -
Very fair question. I was born into it. My dad is a Sabres die-hard and I was brainwashed into it before ever having a conscious choice. - - - I was shaped by it. Moulded by it. The first time I saw the light of a different NHL team...it was BLINDING

Because I live in Winnipeg and I don’t like them. I support the Buffalo team!

I might watch Rogue One and Solo, I just traditionally do a rewatch of the main saga once a year Sometimes it’s a marathon, this time just a regular rewatch though -
Jets down bad so far Hopefully they start coming back down to earth here

Ya there’s an account called Editor in Leaf that I believe is a serious account but is super super biased towards the leafs and generally makes ludicrous statements, so the editor in Sabre account purposely puts out extravagant and often intentionally misleading tweets to mock Leaf. Like it’s a fun account so maybe don’t avoid posting them totally but, people should know the context

Has this losing streak already doomed this season?
Thorner replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
Same. Did seem for whatever reason like our sabres era experiences lined up haha I remember the 95-96 season well though, just on an entire of different level lol. More along the lines of looking at the scores in the newspaper the day after -

I’m here too. I’d love for them to make it but it’s not the expectation. I expect them to put together a season that’s legitimately interesting all year re: playoffs being strictly plausible -

Ya I mean, the math is against it, but the math is also against a long winning streak. So like you point out, string together a good one and it balances out: then you just have to play as a good team overall for all the other games, also against the odds considering our record: but there are extenuating circumstances (like being a young team) that should help. In truth, losing 8 straight IS a big blow, historically teams that do that don’t make it. But it’s not a be all end all and I’d say we have a reasonable shot to at least making it interesting, which we haven’t managed for all together too long -

Currently doing a rewatch of the films. 7 down, 2 to go. Going swell. *MIGHT* check out a couple of the shows after for the first time -

Shots at end of 1 exact inverse of our record -
That we owe JB *somewhat* of an apology, or at least an acknowledgement, in the sense he accounted for 3 of those guys, and the two #1s. Take the amount we cost ourselves with Dahlin, and the amount we are saving with the great idea to get Thomson signed LT, and call it a write off for contract management. Thet’s not to say we are at break even for contract value there, though - one will be appropriately paid and one underpaid. Good stuff
