Doing well this period to ease Levi in

Lol

Great power play
-
Thompson is out but I’d like to see Dahlin get a point
-
Best player so far on ice
-
Ray is right, if we keep skating it’ll only get more lopsided with the rangers on a back to back
-
He’s awful lol
-
Good work on the goal

I understand this it’s still uncommon for my team to be playing inter league game 1

Happy Levi Day. We’ll be seated and watching. Go Sabres

Re: NY Jets not Sacramento Kings

Ya I thought it was a bit odd when they released the schedule
-
What an exciting W for the Jays on opening day, 10-9 against a great Cards team. Pitching was suspect until Romano was dominant, but our ability to manufacture runs looks MUCH improved. 1-0.
-
Sabres streak is worse because half the league makes it
-
He only needs to be “it” if we refuse to add to the crease while waiting for him to be “it”, indefinitely, timing out the rest of our push in the event he doesn’t stick. Simply find a capable bridge for now, and IF he doesn’t pan out, we have plenty of time to get a backup plan ready in the meantime to quickly pivot away from Levi once that determination was made at some point in the future. Or, in the better case, the bridge simply carries us to Levi

Montour having an incredible season. Might pass Dahlin soon in points.

My Take on B&G Insights with Kevyn Adams - 03-28-23
Thorner replied to Taro T's topic in The Aud Club
Thanks. Surprised there weren’t more questions about adding a G I find myself wishing we went back to a singular goal song. Maybe cause I dislike half their choices but, one team, one song kinda thing, too -
It’s easiest just to go back to Ullmark as a good microcosm. It’s not that Adams isn’t aware of who the good players are or that we have need of them (chychrun too, etc). No reason to debate it. The much more interesting question is when, if ever, he breaks on value evaluation to reach the desired end. When do the ends justify the means? When is it ok to give up an extra pick, in overpay, because the opportunity cost lost is even greater if declining? It could even be that he simply never betrays a hard line evaluation. Willingness to bend here I think is one thing signifying willingness to win WITHOUT sacrificing the future
-
There’s certainly a possibility that Adams is so adept at his position there need not be a philosophy change, no conscious priority shift, no sound bite that makes Thorny happy about playoffs being the focus, that Adams simply painstakingly adhering to his process improves the team by a few points every year until we’re a playoff team, even if it takes him till his 5th or 6th year on the job. I’ve argued many times they need to consciously shift focus to a prioritization of winning, to do so. I could definitely be wrong. Proof is in the pudding. What I want to see is irrelevant if we improve by the same amount of points next year we are tracking for this year

re: competition You could splice up some GM comments post deadline into a pretty funny mashup in all honesty: “You are further ahead in your rebuild than we are.” “No, YOU are further along than WE are!” ”No, no, WE are the furthest behind, WE have the brightest future.” haha

Sediment lol Oh ffs

Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Thorner replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
Honestly I get you, I was pretty on board with the over the top-ness until really, the MOST recent film. Flying a car to space was some fine shark jumping, nuke-the-fridge type stuff imo. Oh well, I’ll be seated in theatres for the next one, I see everything lol Have you seen the tag line? “The end of the road begins.” LOL Begins -
damn you all to hell!

Do you want the real answer? It’s not reflective of a deep personality trait difference, think we’re going down the wrong route, there. In our heart of hearts all want the same thing, I think. But the pull towards hubris is often a strong one. Deal with it frequently - I think the desire to be “right” can sometimes overrule not only an objective analysis but directly influence a rooting interest - on a surface level. I think this happens to people taking either side. Happens to me - I find it helpful to remember you learn a lot more by choosing to evaluate and shift your stance. Not only that, but if someone has a contrarian view and instead of points being made, a shot is taken at their fandom, or question their motives in showing up, active resentment will be built up. If it can be at all avoided, people should be adheRing to the time and tested, true Sabrespace slogan which is : Attack the post, not the poster too many times there are unsolicited comments to the tune of “well, I wonder what those posters are thinking NOW! Haha!l that seek to do nothing but stir up divisiveness imo
