  1. I agree with a lot of this, but I think another thing at play here that I’ve personally come to realize lately, that lends an alternate explanation is: many people just really, really like Levi. He’s not really an “if”, it’s when he becomes better than Connor Hellebuyck, and the reasons being used to explain why we don’t want him make sense within that context, and don’t necessarily point to fear of expectations. Hell, the expectations being ladled onto young Levi are downright brazen
  2. On the HNIC panel 2/3 said it was prob the right call, but what do I know. Forsling does drag his foot and he catches him on the toe. It’s a dicey call but Ron MacLean went with the right call cause it prevented a 2 on 1 Was more referring to you wishing critical injury on someone though Anyway thread is some nasty business I’m checking out
  3. Anyways, I’ll go with Finkle and Einhorn for my OT picks
  4. You should prob sit this one out - - - Should be an exciting OT. Huge swing goal on the way. Either it’s a brand new series or the series is basically over.
  5. Was about 2 minutes from the series being basically over
  6. Eichel CRUSHES White Eichel “vs” Reinhart lol
  7. To me the two are part and parcel. Marchy is doing what he’s doing *with Jack*. They are elevating eachother
  8. 23 points, tieing a franchise record, dominant, dominant 200 ft game in playoffs, T-2nd in scoring overall and leads in assists. “That’s just what he’s supposed to do”. Come. ON. If being a dominant player on the biggest stage hockey can offer in the hardest tournament to win is merely what the dude is *supposed* to do, it’s “expected”, then there’s 2 years worth of disingenuous waste of time debate bursting this place at the seams Even *I* was wrong: Jack has been more impressive in this playoffs than I ever could have imagined
  9. Ya goals is the tie breaker for the Art Ross
  10. That pass from Jack to set up Marchy was absolutely incredible. Honestly, I’d have them split the Smythe. There’s really no picking between them. Jack sets him up for every goal and he snipes. Unstoppable
  11. Even Ryan Miller started a total of 8 full seasons for the Sabres. Hellebuyck supposedly only having a 5 year window is much closer to the mark than a mythical “15 year term” Time to win is now, our window is now, when our best players are in their prime and we have cheap talent still on ELCs. It’s only going to be more difficult 5 years from now
  12. Ya I agree Chad knows his stuff I mean, if that’s truly his real name Agree on the other thing, a third of my life has passed since
  13. Neither here nor there, necessarily, where the board is concerned, but it should be noted that, to PA’s point, anecdotally the prevailing sentiment on Sabres twitter, at least, is *exactly* that, so I can see where he’s coming from
  14. W/ the rumours he’s headed for a shorter term deal, if those are true at all it definitely leaves the option open
  15. Can’t believe I have to be That Guy in what is a great, fun thread. lol but if you look at the scoring summary of the last game, your guy’s primary on the final goal was actually his 81st point. The more recent to join the 80 point club was on the goal before I’m so sorry for being That Guy
  16. Even contemplating these goalie adds is getting me excited for next season. I really think if we can manage to add a bonafide, capable veteran to split w/ Levi that we’ll be likely looking at finally breaking this everlasting drought. I’m nervous and curious about it but I think it’s going to be an incredible experience
  17. Lance “Chad” Lysowski has been skirting by for far too long
  18. Would love to lock up Power LT now but I really hope it’s for 7 or the full 8
