  1. No I understand the in game reactions I just meant moreso because your in the moment reactions are leading to very not in the moment prognostications and plans of action
  2. Dude they are 5 and 5 and this one is far from over listen to your friend Aaron Rodgers and relax. He’s a cool dude
  3. A couple power plays though and this could change really fast its 2023
  4. Boo’ed off the ice haha hard to blame a Friday night crowd
  5. Always disliked this as I feel If we score next, we are in fact answering their 3rd goal
  6. Sabres are pretty fast (I don’t get to watch every game)
  7. 2 goal lead is the most dangerous in hockey be sure to avoid scoring as then their lead will be less dangerous
  8. They probably have somewhat of the old “cloak of invisibility” feeling while wearing these jerseys, that old fighters analogy, I’d like to keep it that way
  9. Me, when my non-online friends tell me the Sabres won’t make the playoffs:
  10. And lost 10 of their next 12 at the beginning of March. So the longbottom leaf hasn’t slowed my mind yet. though their odds mathematically on Feb 27 were probably ok, wouldn’t have been 50%, but maybe perhaps just a shade or so below. So while not “likely”, as mentioned, I was somewhat wrong at least about them not being within a point at any other time in the second half. As for whether it was the actions of the deadline.. it’s possible tangibly but I’m not sure if I agree with you mentally: I feel like KA operated probably close to how one might have expected him to: ie the players wouldn’t have expected different. Just a guess though on that
  11. 14g, 26a, 40p in Sabres first 41 17g, 11a, 28p in Sabres second 41
  12. It’s a good point. Development is rarely linear like we saw with say, an Eichel or even Reinhart: usually it looks more like Dahlin or Casey
  13. Absolutely. It’s been 13 years. The casual fan (the majority of fans) need (see: deserve) to be rewarded with an actual, honest to goodness playoff spot. Anything short of that by an inch might as well be a Grand Canyon. I do fully believe that once this team is back in, it will be ROCKING - - - on another point, the Sabres at no point during the second half of last season had a good mathematical likelihood of making the playoffs. They went on a big swoon near the beginning of March, and to their credit clawed to *remain in it* until almost the end, but they were clawing back the entire time and it was never a likely proposition: where they finished after game 82 was the closest they got. I remember the narrative being that we “didn’t get meaningful games in March” again early in the month because we were well back. It’s not like they were ever within a point or two before that last game, hovering around, or in and out of, a spot. They were hanging from a thread for a month, fighting to stay in it, several games back, with several teams in between, for the duration of that stretch until the final game. it was a “still in it!” situation far more than a true race. Expect that to change this season
  14. And AEW, for that matter 😬
  15. As arguably his biggest supporter I’d like to see a little bit more from Dahlin, even though he’s been good. T-7th in points for D is the minimum I’d expect, frankly, and I’d like to see that plus minus bump up too from -1, thought realistically that should come along with the team He leads the team in assists, but the bar is Norris nomination ie a top 3 league D. He’s that good. He’s pacing for 73 points just like last year, I think he has more in him for a ceiling.
  16. In fine position after 10 to ensure their focus remains on, and that they challenge for, the hard-line expectation of making the playoffs.
