  1. @PerreaultForeverattempting to dodge @Curt’s well aimed/reasoned punches in this thread like
  2. Need a D-backs win. Would at least make the series interesting and the Rangers can win at home if it comes to that
  3. I suppose there’s sort of two questions: why didn’t they move him, but also: why didn’t they replace him with a better player everything you said makes sense provided there was no one else better that could have been reasonably acquired to be that 13th man
  4. I don’t expect their salaries to be very comparable either, though, so I’m going to hold serve on this one
  5. There’s also that stat Pi has frequently alluded to about our goalies being better on the road: look for a good performance from 6k tonight
  6. I don’t get the trade in division thing. Surely if you don’t think he’s any good that supersedes the fear you’d get from playing against him? Haha If you don’t want to trade him in division because you are fearful it’ll bite you in the ass you wouldn’t have a hard-line view on his ability in the first place or at least not a wholly negative one: in which case the reason is more likely that they expect he can still contribute
  7. I don’t really like the “7 million for a 3C?” argument. Imagine the Pens lowballing Malkin because “hey actually you are our 2C”. Position they play is merely semantics if the actual production is representative of more
  8. I guess Adams figured he was the best available option even after Quinn went down? I don’t really understand it either but seeing what we’ve seen from KA, even if he’s going to play AHL guys over him, I don’t think he moves Olofsson unless he breaks at least even in the transaction itself
  9. Ya ur probably right
  10. If there are posts calling Thompson Quinn Casey UPL pricks, I withdraw my argument and again, it’s obviously not about standing up for the players you believe in. It was the idea that those who criticize the players or team online aren’t fans. Which is the inference I take from “fans”. It’s admittedly a huge pet peeve
  11. Well, you’ve moved the goal posts (fittingly I guess given the subject matter) in the span of a single post. You didn’t mention anything at all about personal insults in the post I quoted - of course I am against that and if you mentioned that in thread and I missed it, I apologize But I am well on record on this board saying, over the course of multiple posts I will quote if necessary, that my issue with the Eichel stuff *always* was the personal attacks questioning one’s viability as a fan merely because of the presence of whipping boys, or because they doubted someone or the team would be successful, doesn’t jive for me, im sorry it just doesn’t
  12. I wonder if this kid likes Star Wars
  13. Like in a single game? I also read online they were the first team in a World Series to score 5 in back to back innings
  14. Very salient
  15. Turned it on and it was already 5-0 in the second. The worst. Nothing against the Rangers just a neutral observer who loves baseball Thought we might be in line for a classic series after what we saw in the league championships.. looks like we might be getting something more along the lines of what we saw in every postseason series this year before that round
  16. The fans don’t deserve to have anything stuffed in their faces, good grief “Fans” in quotations? this is Zamboni territory
  17. He kept insurance against the player *he rostered* that was likely to fail to play a lot of games? I guess lol. We will see on UPL. Bit of a broken record but as I always say we’ll just have to see how the results turn out
  18. Almost as good as their record while wearing the goat heads I assume a lot of correlation rather than causation particularly given UPL’s poor overall numbers but maybe there’s some confidence inducing voodoo going on, like I’ve recently begun to have no choice but to consider, with those sweaters doing the math, they played at an 87 point pace last season without UPL, and a 97 point pace with him. Over 82, I can’t decide if that’s compelling or not. It’s an extra win every 16 and a half games..it might be something but it could also be coincidence
  19. Why not? It helped Reinhart. I’m not saying CHL is best for them but there’s nothing to suggest they wouldn’t be able to learn a bunch and develop playing there either. He still honed his off ice work while there, on ice against the competition provided
  20. Do what’s best for each player under the context that it’s also best for the team
  21. Hard to know what to expect - they are .500 on the season and we are slightly below. First back to back wins on the year would put us in a pretty workable 5-5 spot after 10
  22. You’ll certainly deserve the victory lap if he maintains course I’m good with calling him 6K, but only under the condition that when we lose, he’s referred to as Ukko-Pekka Let’emin
