All I have to say about that is, If the Caps were to play the Bruins for the cup, I might not watch a game. The Leafs are nothing but a laugh but I despise those two teams. I am okay with Chevy picking because we have two picks in the first and he doesn't necessarily pick by how other teams have a player ranked. Scheifele and Morrissey, for instance. Do you really think he only gears up the year before a contract??? Really??? Explain why he turned it on and wasn't playing that well there. He was a big reason we made the playoffs and i would offer him a 3 year deal but it wouldnl't be more than 12m. He can play 2nd line and would be a VERY good 3rd liner. The Jets have lots of decisions this summer. Frolik is also an UFA as is Tlusty, Slater, Halischuk, Stempniak, and Pardy. Buff and Ladd are on their last year of theirs and there are a few RFAs they should sign to extensions like Scheifele, Lowry and Trouba. Chiarot is an RFA that they wil ldefinitely re-sign. It'll be an interesting year and it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Jets don't have both 1st round picks and Staf, Stempniak and Fro re-sign. Tlusty played for Maurice before but is only getting 4th line time unless of injuries. Is Andrej Meszaros going to test the market?

So, he was playing really well for the Sabres before he got here? On a side note, I am glad Ovechkin's team got beat tonight....I hear he threw a check? wow...GO ISLES GO!!!!!!!

If we get that far, I would be happy...mainly because we have played VERY well against the hawks this season. 3-2 if I am not mistaken....one of their wins was 31 seconds left in the game....if Pavs stays hot, the skies the limit, if not, it will be a quick playoff.....LOVE to see the Bruins finish where they did tho....frickin hate that team.

Pavs has had shutouts in his last 3 starts... he is playing the best of his career... something like .940 in his last 10 games...how much better do you want? The whiteout is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the congrats guys. I would like nothing better than to watch theSabres and Jets playing the cup final. Even if I were to lose the bet and had to wear a jersey in public, I will put Hawerchuk's name on it and wear it with pride. As a side note, I really liked watching the Sabres when you had Perrault, Robert and Martin (yes, I am THAT old). Also Crozier, Dudley, Fogolin, Gare et al...even Korab! It was a formidable team.

HOOWAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We made it into the post season. I don't think we would have made it without Staf and Myers. Staf = 18 points in 25 games. Myers = 15 points in 25 games. Playoff hockey is back in the peg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I grew up a Habs fan so I hate Boston more than anyone on the planet. As far as anything with cash.....your dollar is 1.33 CAD. I hate big cities so I hate TO, don't like the people, don't like the city, etc... I live 15 minutes north of Winnipeg on 3 acres on a gravel road so, ya, I hate Winnipeg too. Gangs, violence, smell of diesel, etc... Nice to have a big city near for restaurants, sports, employment, getting things you can't in a small town but that is it. I was thinking you wear a Jets jersey and I wear a Buffalo but......if you would rather wear a home bruins jersey, I am ok with that. lol I met a Sabres fan in Cuba and chatted for awhile, he is not a member on this forum. Nice guy and passionate about is team...Sabres logo on his backpack. Also met a couple from Boston in Havana. First thing I said when he told me where he was from was, "I hate your hockey team". He said he gets a lot of that!!!!!!!!! Your choice on the bet though, I've never disliked Buffalo except for a couple of months after the Hawerchuk trade but I hated the GM a LOT more. Not sure how big Bufflao is but Wiki says population is under 300k...that must be wrong....Winnipeg has about 700k. Bogo liked it here because of the hunting and fishing......Kane disliked it because he said it was too small. I'll bet whatever you want to bet...the bet is that Kane is gone at the end of or before his current contract expires, right?

So Kane has .7 points per game for the Jets or .62 in his career, what's your point? Staf won't make 5m a year for the Jets. He has 17 points in 20 games but he won't make 5m a year. I'll bet whatever you'd like. You do realize Kane isn't a free agent until 2018-2019? He wants the bright lights of LA or NY or Chitown or Vegas...he wasn't happy in a small town like Winnipeg and won't be happy in Buffalo. I do have to thank him for being a dick though. Without his antics, we don't get Staf and Myers (30 points between them since they were traded here) and are probably out of the wildcard spot by now.

Myers is playing more than anyone on the team and shut down Ovechkin a couple of games ago while averaging about .67 points a game. Who knows where and what Stafford will do but he is looking good in a Jets uni right now. 16 points in 19 games and a +4 with 6 minutes in penalties. Nobody knows if Armia and Lemieux will play in the NHL but most scouts think they will and will for years. 1st pick in a deep draft with Chevy's drafting history makes me optimistic. Kasdorf will never have a career in the NHL. Bogo gets hurt or has other "problems" and misses games ALL the time. He's played what 14 games and is a -2 with 32 penalty minutes. I'd take Myers every day all day over Bogo. Kane? He averaged .3 goals a game for the Jets and gets 6m a year!!!! A cancer in the room and most people are glad he is gone. I will bet anyone that he is gone from the Sabres at the end of his contract if not before. How is he going to feel when the number one draft pick gets all the limelight and he is playing second fiddle? Myers would have to ###### the bed and Stafford would have to sign elsewhere plus Armia and Lemieux tank to even suggest the Jets didn't win this trade.
