Went for a ride on April 7th to a spot I know of that is usually good for suckers but not running yet (saw small northern pike in the ditches yesterday so suckers are right behind them). Took the looooooong way there. Things seen on the drive... 30 deer (20, 3, 5, 1, 1,) About a dozen American Kestrels 5 Rough-legged hawks 1 Bald eagle 3 Horned larks (many have moved on) 2 HUGE flocks of geese with lots of mallards and mucho geese besides those two massive flocks 4 Northern Pintails 3 Northern Shovelers 2 Buffleheads 20 swans I am guessing Tundra swans but haven't looked at the pics yet. (6, 3, 5, 6) A flock of 6 Western meadowlarks mucho crows mucho gulls (too far to identify which kind) robins but a lot have moved on mucho Dark-eyed juncos 7 or 8 Sharptail grouse and one was displaying...really cool...dancing on the grass on the side of the ditch and then on top off some snow and then whhen the others moved up on top of some round hay bales, he flew up there and started givin' er again!!!!!!!!!!!!!..... See this all the time in the yard at the feeders but really cool out in the "wild".....took some video but haven't looked at it yet...there were also pairs of geese flying intermittently over the bales less than 25 feet in the air...watched them for at least 20 minutes and if a car woudln't have drove by and made them fly away, I wudda stayed another half hour A Great horned owl on a nest with the mate really close by with a bunch crows pestering them (wish I would have had my gun with me to scare them off...pissed me right off) ...pretty cool ...saw a Turkey vulture on April 6th which is pretty early. Pic is a Bald eagle nest that has been in use for years and years and is still active. I would guess 4 feet in diameter and 7 feet top to bottom. I'd love to see what all is in that nest as far as skeletons and dog leashes.

We went for a ride to Gimli the toher day and saw close to 80 bald eagles, five swans, a great blue heron and tons of the usual suspects like ducks, geese, gulls, dark-eyed juncos, robins, etc... Trying to get a pic to load but having problems. If it loads there were 20 bald eagles in this tree at one time. There were about 45 in the air about 600 yards to the north of this tree.

Closer to 0.0183% but it would be a lot more if they did more testing I am sure. I work at an essential service in Winnipeg but live 20 minutes north of the city on a gravel road with not many neighbours. Boss phoned today and offered a layoff where I don't lose seniority if I want it (I have COPD). I will think seriously about it.

Ehlers Scheif Wheeler 20.375m Connor Little Laine 19.15m Copper Lowry Roslo 6.5m Harkins Gus Appleton 3m Forwards ~49m JMo DeMelo 9.25m Slamberg Pionk 4.2m Heinola Poolman 1.7m Boolow Niku 2m D ~17.15 Helle backup? 7.6m G ~7.6 TOTAL under 74m I am assuming Perreault and his 4.125m AAV are gone. Chevy isn't giving a backup 2m believe me. The D might be different with a vet signed to a reasonable deal for the expansion draft rules but that will only change it by 1 or 2 million at most. Add 7m for Cirelli and take away Lowry's 2.9m or Copper's 2.3m and we are still under the cap with breathing room. It is the year after when Pionk and Laine re-signs that Chevy is going to have to move someone if the cap doesn't go up considerably. Chevy is pretty good at getting reasonable long term deals and cap issues....

I haven't worked since the 15th of March and don't go back until the 19th of May...longer if I can get a leave of absence... Manitoba has 250 cases and 5 deaths and most are adhering to provincial restrictions. I keep up to date on all provinces and most of the states.........some are worse than others but I can't believe you know who wants to start things up already.
-
If they start playing hockey in September, when is the entry draft?
-
An abundance at Center? Really, enlighten me. As far as cap space goes we have about 19 million in cap space next year. I don't know where you get your numbers from but they are wrong.

I like to see how much loving Randy and Burton are getting on here. Right on. I've seen Bachman, Knopfler, Clapton and a host of other great guitarists over th eyears but I would have to say Kath is the most under-rated of them all. This guy was a maestro that went off in his own world on someof is solos. I love me some Randy Bachman though. I've seen him a number of times live and LOTs on the internet. He can sure play a variety of styles. Anyone mention Alvin Lee?

I'd like to see the Jets move Bryan Little onto a third line of Harkins Little Roslovic after they trade for Cirelli from TB. I'm not sure what TB is going to do even if the cap goes up a bit. They're at the limit as it is. They are going to lose some players because of the cap. Too many of their players have NMCs if you ask me. Cirelli might be the best center out there that not many are talking about. I'd give up a 1st, Lowry or Copp (their choice) and Niku for Cirelli. He has good defensive smarts, he is an RFA with no arbitration rights (Chevy's favorite) coming off of his ELC and is unsigned. He could probably be had in an offer sheet but I can't see too many teams doing that. I'd love to see Chevy trade for him and get him in a Jets uniform as I think he is on the verge of breaking out and becoming a star.

OK, didn't realize we were picking so high...The 1st in 2021 for Mittelstadt straight up. If he's not ready, Maurice will ship him down to the Moose. If he's ready to start his apprenticeshihp to be a bona fide 2C after another year of the AHL, I'd be happy.
-
What would the Sabres want for Mittelstadt? This year's 1st rounder enough or???
-
Apologies if someone has posted tis already but the Athletic handed out the year end trophies... Hart.........................Drai Norris....................Jossi Selke...............Couturier Vezina..........Hellebuyck Calder...................Makar Jack Adams...Vigneault GM.........................Sakic I can't really argue about any of them to be honest. Helle gets the biggest win margin with 38 out of 41 votes.

https://medium.com/@tomaspueyo/coronavirus-the-hammer-and-the-dance-be9337092b56 A pretty good article. It is time to shut things down not piss around. I watched a bunch of video on Trump since this has started...you know, thanking China for being so transparent about this from the beginning! saying how he suggested they clean the masks and they are looking into this and they have started cleaning them and then a doctor came on and said he doesn't know what he is talking about and that anything that would sterilize them would ruin the material that filters!!! "Anybody that wants a test can get a test. That's what the bottom line is." "This is a very contagious -- this is a very contagious virus. It's incredible. But it's something that we have tremendous control of." -- March 15 "...I hear the numbers are getting much better in Italy." -- March 6 exchange with reporters after tour of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention He either doesn't listen to his advisors or he needs new ones.......just totally unbelievable.

Eight weeks from now is late May and the RFA's and UFA's contracts expire June 30...the season is over. I have read that they expect it to peak sometime in June not return to normal.
-
How does it compare with the maple syrup?
-
The season was done before this guy tested positive but no way do they finish the season when RFA's and UFA's contracts expire June 30. Going to be a nightmare for the trades that hinged on making the playoffs or not. The Jets were finally healthy (minus Little) and added DeMelo and Eakin and were playing well. Oh well, bigger things on people's minds these days. How do you figure out the draft order??? ppg x 82???
-
I watch this 3 or 4 times a month. Some great songs in that concert. Guitars...Jimi, Kath and Knopfler. Vocals...Rodgers and Plant Bass...McCartney Drums...Moon Keys...Preston Producer...Jack Douglas

What was the cap when Ehlers signed and what is the cap when Sam signs? Also, Ehlers is on a sweet deal just like Scheif, Pionk and Morrissey.
-
Chevy isn't stupid enough to do that and if you believe it, how many of Chevy's trades were talked about before they happened? None that I can think of.
-
Ehlers can skate backwards faster than Sam forwards and gets O zone with ease. He is signed for 5 more seasons after this one at 6m per. Haven't seen him play much but from what I read on here, Ehlers' D game is better as well. I would trade Roslo for Mittelstadt though.
-
I think Chevy wold be all over that one. Send him with Mittlestadt to the Jets for Ehlers?

GDT: 3/3/20 Buffalo Sabres vs. Winnipeg Jets 8 pm
Ducky replied to bob_sauve28's topic in The Aud Club
Three factors for the win for the Jets in no order... Goaltending Special teams Overall team offense. This is the strongest D that has started a game for the Jets all season. Scary seeing as at least two of them are no better than a 7D. I can't see them canning RK but I can maybe see JBots getting the door. I don't think Eichel would want to start playing for another coach next season. How many has he had? three? I also don't think there's that big a gap between the best coach in the league and the worst. General managers are different. More of a gap in my opinion.
