7m is overpay for him iin my opinion...we disagree. You have seen him play more than I have. I meean Kyle Connor is making 7.15m and he had 73 points and 38 goalls. No way Reinhart is inn the 7m category even if he signs an eight year deal. He's a rreally important part of the team but I wouldn't overpay him a dime. H's an RFA, who has the leverage?

Ehlers (I'm not as high on him as some but he is a good 2nd line winger) is on a sweet deal but the Sabres have to be careful with their contracts. KO and Skinner are eating up a fair chunk of a cap that will be reportedly stagnant for the next two years. They can't be making long term deals for big cash right now. I would give him 6m x 5 years. Larkin makes 6.1 on a sweet deal. Horvat is 5.5m. Oshie makes 5.75.....I'd pay him no more than 6m.

I have heard that trades can no longer rely on whether a player re-signs or not. For example...A deal cannot say if this player re-signs with you, we get x.

Reinhart doesn't deserve 7m....barely over 6m if you ask me.

I know next to nothing about KA but I would have looked at Ron Hextall's availability. He built a good team in Philly. He drafted well and didn't trade many of his draft picks.

If everybody is quarantined and isolated though, it shouldn't matter should it? I wouldn't want it to be in Winnipeg. The city and the province has really done a good job of kicking the virus. Most of the cases showing up which is about an average of one a day maybe are travel related. To be honest, if it were up to me, the season would be over and the Stanley Cup would not be handed out this year.

I heard that if they can prove they have quarantined for the 14 days prior to entering Canada, they are good to go. I'm not sure how they can prove that? If they fly here, have they been quarantined or possibly exposed on the plane? I also heard that all involved will be tested for the virus every day and full face shields will not be mandatory. I'm not sure that it matters but Alberta has done well fighting the virus.

I think Deadmonton or Calgary is going to be one of the cities....I'd go for Deadmonton as they have some of the best ice in the league.

I must miss fresh fish too. I got home and 30 minutes later the kids pulled in (haven't seen them since February). The next thing you know there are wings in the oven, Stella Artois being opened and fish being fried. Good thing the better half got home from work when she did or we might have eaten it all! When all was said and done, my half of the fish were eaten (buddy took his and went home) and everyone was full. I am supposed to be going back tomorow but the forecast is for high winds so I will put it off until Saturday. I hear the catfish are biting like crazy now so I have to get out after them too...not enough time in the week!!!

Outdoor patios just opened and I hear they are being run smartly. It will be a LONG time before I enter a restaurant of any sort.

Trading Mitts for Puljujarvi would be a mistake in my opinion.

Quite a few teams looking for a bona fide 2C. Mitts doesn't have a 2C in his future? (Does anyone think he was rushed onto the team?) I have been hearing the same things about Monahan but the price would be very expensive. Cirelli is going nowhere. The Habs will want too much for Domi. I'd be interested in Nick Schmaltz if AZ wanted to move him. They have a lot of centers.

Letting 24 teams into the playoffs is BS and nothing but a money grab. For instance, how do the Jets get the 12th overall pick and get to make the post-season. One (not the only one) of the reasons Scheif is so poor defensively is because he plays the majority of the time with the 2 worst defensive wingers (KC and Wheeler) in the top 6. Ehlers is better than KC or Wheeler and I would say Laine is too. It's too bad the awards will have an * beside them this season because I think Helle will win the Vezina. I'd like to see who he has picked for the other awards.

Ya, it was a downer not having the full cap to work with but kudos to Chevy and Maurice. They both did a hell of a job this year with everything that went on. Some people around here hate Maurice and want him gone yesterday but here is what former assistant coach Tood Woodcroft (just took a college HC job) had to say about Maurice...
