Boedeker is asking for 5.5M for 5, not sure why anyone is particularly down on him. Good 2 way player and he won't be the 1st forward to be hot and cold on scoring. He's also one of the fastest players in the NHL which is a need on this team plus he'd be one of the few capable of staying with Jack. Okposo's if he's an UFA is asking 7M per plus he's older and he's also an inconsistent scorer. Not belittling either just trying to figure out why someone would want one and not the other. Eriksson will be 31 next season, a bit of a grey beard for this team.

I don't necessarily disagree with you but most of the national guys who are actually accurate with trades, waivers, etc.... get their information from player agents and the like and not the local media. Not that it never happens but their #1 source is someone affiliated with or is actually a player agent.

Lets see, we played a team that is 15-2-1 in its last 18 games with 10 of the last 14 of those on the road, they have scored 60 goals in the last 13 games prior to playing us last night.............. We lose 1-0 on the road with 3 rookies in the forward ranks and 2 basically rookies in the back-line along with Colaiacovo BUT the reasons we lost were our players sucked, our coaching sucked and the refs sucked plus Eichel just wasn't giving any effort??? And I thought my ex-wife was hormonal.

Kudos to anyone staying up to watch all of this game. I hate West Coast games on work nights. First game without a trace of Mike Weber since the 06-07 season. Here's to him getting his name on that Cup this June

I would have thought so too but Ennis almost has as many hits this year as ROR and Reinhart have combined and he has almost as many as Eichel. Gorges believe it or not has the most for the Dmen. If not for Kane and Deslauriers we'd also be on the bottom of the league. So does he value a playing style of ROR or more of say Foligno and McGinn??? And I'm not talking ability as style. So does that style say who he values more and who he may or may not covet moving forward.

The key to me on who goes, who stays, who we try to pick up is what type of team/personality are we trying to become. A team such as LA Kings, NY Islanders, Flyers, Ottawa, Bruins, Ducks big and physical plenty of hits per game or are we going to emulate the Blackhawks, Dallas Stars, RedWings, TB Lightning, Montreal, San Jose Sharks type where speed and skill is more important and all are down on the hit parade. I thought the Penguins game was a great watch because we played against a good team in the bottom of the playoff standings to see how much we need to improve to get there and it showcased our weaknesses, things to improve on besides just the obvious player upgrades. Team speed, someone besides ROR to win faceoffs and an improvement on getting the puck quickly out of our zone. When we did this in the 1st period of forwards were able to play with speed and be physical but in especially the 2nd period we couldn't play it out of our zone which just bogged everything down. So the question becomes who does GMTM want us to become and from there we can speculate what type of player/s he brings in.

Hopefully he'll be able to do at least 1 pull-up

Love your passion but I disagree with your scouting report. He hasn't played as badly as you state, he's by far our best Dman in front of the net and the past 6-8 weeks he's played well. On top of that he's only 25 and he's got a bit of nasty to him. NBC had a spot where it showed we were the 3rd youngest team in the league at 26.5, you take off Legwand, Gionta, Moulson and Colaiacovo and McCormick and it drops down to 24.0. Trading him for picks or prospects sounds like you want the rebuild to continue forever. I'm with Taro..... big haul, go for it. Otherwise give it time. As for WildC, I'm with you, I'd love Fowler but I just don't know what it would realistically take to haul him in.

Yes that's the ticket, we have a 21 year old who has blown 3 games recently with mindless passing, 2 Dmen playing in their 1st year and the rest of the guys couldn't beat an opposing forward to a loose puck even if they were wearing snow shoes instead of skates...... and we want to rid ourselves of this guy :wallbash: As if anyone we could get of equal value in free agency wouldn't cost as much or more and we have no-one on the near horizon in the AHL ready to play up and we want to rid ourselves of Bogosian???

We lead 15-6 in shots and 11-5 in hits, I'd say except for the score that was a pretty dominating period of play

For PC purposes, can we please call the aforementioned word.... The "T word". Your cooperation is appreciated when speaking of PA :w00t:

I don't think we get Cam Fowler for a healthy T.Ennis but that wouldn't keep me from trying. I'd also expect more for McCabe and Baptiste than a Foligno clone.

:worthy: Wow, that is awesome, this may be SaberSpaces equivalent of Einsteins theory of relativity. Thanks :worthy:

Pysyk and McCabe are your typical young defensemen, their play is sort of like a sine wave but there are positives with these 2 and I'd really like to see them turn into a very good 3rd pairing. Drop Gorges down with Bogosian and then your immediate need is just a 1st pairing guy with Risto to make this a solid group going forward. The same thing can be said of Lehner but when he's on.... he's on. The bolded is also true, the young guys are starting to be a lot more responsible in their defensive responsibilities. Larsson in particular has done a really nice job as the 3rd C. He missed Kane yesterday otherwise I think his line would have scored and won the game. Foligno has played really well for about a month now. You can tell he's getting confident with the puck also. He's trying things almost every game lately, not always successfully but positively. I think he can be a cheaper McGinn moving forward. If we can get something for McGinn, go for it. Reinhart started a bit slowly but really kicked it up as the game went on. Eichel definitely plays better with Girgs on his side. The trade deadline will be interesting to see if the front office wants to finish strong or play for a draft pick. I'd be good for either but it seems to me we have moved into the upper crust of the lottery. 8-6-3 since the 2nd half of the season has started isn't too shabby although we still need some work to be a viable playoff contender next year.

That actually is awesome news, having done something similar a few years ago my advice is don't do anything more than you can repeat the next day. Worst thing that can happen is a repeat injury or set back Is that 16 pounds since I saw you last or the past 6 weeks?? Either way that is pretty awesome also. I've lost about 15 since we've met and I hit the 5 mile mark on my daily power walks. Which may not sound like much but I thought I was going to have a heart attack when I first started at the 1 mile mark. So I'm pretty pumped over that. Sugar levels down, cholesterol down, blood pressure down, resting bpm way down, I guess there is a reason why you feel better after all and you can tell I'm a pretty old guy by me even knowing that info.

Observations: Reinhart looks much better at wing than center (yes I know it was only 2 games) It's not hard to see Bailey's speed and strength, pretty impressive, a bit raw in other aspects but how does a 3rd line of him and Kane together sound?? Speaking of Kane, for someone having a down year..... He leads the team in 5v5 Goals and has a better GPG % 5v5 than anyone on the Jets Legwand may be long in the tooth but he's a very underrated penalty killer, does a very nice job on the PK Does Eichel lead the team in turnovers/giveaways??? He had 4 yesterday, a high number for anybody I don't dislike Rob Ray but sometimes I want to go STFU during the broadcast, I miss RJ also Speaking of dislike.... Subban and Kane have a bit of a rivalry brewing..... No love lost here from either party..... I like it, last game also had a bit of action between these 2 Bogosian was a beast at the end of that game.... an another I like What in the world has happened to our GKs??? Thank goodness we were scoring goals because Johnson was not at his best but better than Lehner's past 2 games... Who starts tomorrow??
