Well I guess if you're entering your 30th year of employment your somewhere between 50 and my age. If closer to 50 you should have at least 100k in your 401k. My advice would be to make a 5 year plan and get as close to ZERO debt as you can. Depending on your companies match, you should be putting in at a minimum the amount that they will max match. Put in more. Your yearly annual increase by percentage should be what you increase your 401k by. 3% raise, a minimum of 2% increase in your 401k as an example. Less than 3% raise, put that full percentage in. That may seem like a strict monetary diet, well start getting used to what you will shortly be living on when you retire. Unless you plan on working until you die, do it. Fact is no matter what your lifestyle there is no guarantee how your health will hold up as you age even further up. You may be barely holding on when your SSecurity age hits. Trust me, you won't be able to live off of that amount. Alpo and ketchup sandwiches are not a good lifestyle choice as you age up. Depending on your health luck, you'll have a few years to enjoy your stress free life in retirement, you don't want to waste that opportunity by being stuck on the front porch and watching daytime TV because you didn't make good choices now. No offense meant in that post, JMO, If you don't have a hobby outside of watching the Bills and Sabres, get one, pronto. You still want to stay relatively active to keep yourself from going nuts doing nothing plus if you're like me, you may love your wife to death but 24/7 365 is not going to be good for our marriage.

A big THANK YOU for the links. Made my surfing much easier.

I say he and our present D is not as bad as you make it out to be. Some of our issues lie with forwards not being as responsible on the back end of that 200 feet as they are on the front end. As for Bogosian, he'll never be the PP QB that GMTM wants, no issues with you there although in the preseason what does it hurt. In fact he was taking out ankles, shins, back of calves and Kane's backend which almost became comical, in fact it was, I'm not his coach. We still need an upgrade to our D and I'd love to get our hands on one of the young Duck defenders to match up with Risto and move everyone else down a notch. To me we'd be set. Franson won't remind anyone of speedy Gonzalez but on the 3rd pairing don't be surprised if he has a better year than anyone is predicting for him. He's a vet who knows his role.

LOL, it cracks me up how you will make up every excuse in the book for players you like and are very consistent on the negative side for players you don't. Having said that if someone on the opposing team has ankle or a lingering lower body injury on the PK you NEED Bogo out there on the PP because everybody is in danger when he's winding it up. The referee's were covering up on that one PP everytime he touched the puck.

Well you have to admit if he, Girgensons and Ennis have comeback years, they stand a much greater chance of making the playoffs than not.

Watched the game last night and it was the best picture that I've ever had with it. Not quite HD quality but a lot closer than it has ever been before. The Ottawa announcers were awful though, again. They had one take where they were wondering if Eichel would play center this year, WTF??? I enjoy watching bits and pieces of others broadcasts to get a feel for the other teams version of the game and some are awesome, some are terrible and surprisingly there are times the picture quality of the other teams broadcast is much better. It was nice to finally get to see some preseason games, first time that I can remember doing so.

I just hope he doesn't get stepped on by juniors or get caught up in a log jam down there. That would mess him up big time

Marchand with Boston gets 8 years 49M. No way Risto deserves more money. His potential is top notch but he hasn't produced as a 6.5M average per year Dman yet. As much as I like him, he's no where near Ekblad in talent nor what he has produced so far.

Neither Goalie appeared to do well by the stats, were they weak or was the D that bad??? -
I realize we don't have Doughty or Karlsson in the back but am I the only one who doesn't think we are atrocious in the backend??? Risto-Kulikov....Bogosian-McCabe and Gorges-Franson isn't all world but atrocious??? I can understand our depth at the position is not where we want it but I don't think we're as bad back there as some of these writers insinuate. Personally I think Lehner is the key to us making the playoffs or getting stuck in mediocrity. Risto and Kulikov have both played well in the WHC, Bogosian and McCabe should be better in year 2 together and Gorges-Franson if nothing else should give us veteran positioning on the 3rd pair and I think they'll play well together as Franson seems the more offensive player of the 2 and Gorges the more defensive minded of the pairing. They'll get the weakest defensive assignments and be able to give the team some veteran leadership.

If you check your messages, I sent you an email address to ask your question. They typically answer back between 1 to 5 days.

1) The additions of Kulikov-Okposo and Ennis 2) The continued development of Risto-Jack-Samson and Girgensons 3) The B&B bunker getting blown up...... Bogosian's and Bylsma's 4) One of the young guys stepping up and taking a spot Bailey-Carrier-Baptiste-Nelson-Guhle 5) Sabre playoff hockey

That brought back some memories, I grew up closer to the bridge but about the midpoint of the terminal and the bridge. -
I'm guessing you are wrong. Your Kicking at 3-6 times the rate your arms are moving. In Freestyle, your core is very important. The shorter the race, sprinting as opposed to long distance, your legs are by far the most important. I remember that the 3 most important things in swimming races was the Start-Turns and Finishes. Starts and turns are mostly legs and timing.

Well I have to admit it does smell better in here all of a sudden Actually I agree, it was awesome to watch some hockey again even if it was JUST AN EXHIBITION GAME. The one thing I noticed was he was much more responsible on the defensive side of his game which I wondered if the ROR effect was taking place. Also he looked huge out there, he definitely worked out in the offseason and he was much better on faceoffs, all of which should do him well when the real season starts up next month

This part is correct-o-mundo She shouldn't be bearing the financial burden on all of this. I hope I didn't imply otherwise.

Is the mom involved?? She normally would be the one to be annoyed if you don't have it plus she's checking out what everyone is giving because she's been giving to others for years and now they want their daughter to get some too. Married off my last daughter last year. I had to put up with her mom for 6 months until it was over. Funny now but oh so true. Although a pain, it really is an honor for someone to select you for that role, enjoy the ride.

I sometimes think the consensus opinion has an issue with selective memory. Item #1 Defense hasn't improved over last season Fact...... The 6 Dmen to start the year was Risto-Gorges-Franson-Pysyk-Weber and Colaiacovo, plus believe it or not the oh so awesome Pysyk was getting the least amount of TOI, if I'm not mistaken...... Yes Bogosian was injured Projected Dmen to start next season.... Risto-Kulikov-Bogosian-McCabe-Gorges-Franson/Nelson A gigantic improvement in my opinion in skill-speed and the young guys have some experience to boot,a Major Upgrade Item #2 Kane can't play with Eichel Fact..... when these 2 were paired together to start the year, Eichel was a peached fuzz rookie and Kane was coming off an injury, when paired later in the year with Samson, this line clicked big time and Kane came to their defense often enough to protect them, personal opinion is the Jack-Samson line needs a little physicality as their 3rd linemate and if it isn't Kane, it won't be Ennis

Most other markets do this by what team they are playing against, I'm guessing the Leafs games will be higher cost and some team like Columbus that would typically be of less interest would be a lower cost. It's more of reason to help fill the building. Selling the tickets is one revenue the other is selling food, drinks, souvenirs, parking that brings in the real money.

Or Elvis or Frank Sinatra??? Yes they weren't boy bands but neither were the Beatles or Stones
