You are getting better and better at this H.A.Sprain -
In the old days before shootouts and OT, our record would be just what it is. 4 WINS 3 losses 2 Ti-es

I agree with you but they could have used him yesterday. Some possible spot minutes as the 6th Dman would have given Gorges a needed breather here and there. Franson didn't appear to get too many extra minutes but Gorges was sucking wind big time a couple of times in that game. Kuli-Risto and Jake appeared ok with their extra time. In fact on the Wild's only goal I thought ROR was on the ice a few seconds too much as he was late getting back and didn't cover his man more so than any deficiency the D had. Ennis has been the best man on his line for a few games in a row now. I think Samson is still playing center on that line but DD has allowed Girgs to be taking some faceoffs for him. Grant is not coming off as the 4th center until anyone besides ROR can win a faceoff. That is the biggest deficiency this team has and why DD plays ROR so much besides his great 2 way play. I really hope Bogosian is back soon, the D has been pretty freaking good this season and someone will be insufferable if he's out an extended period of time. Still 2 goals total against in the past 3 games combined is no fluke as the forwards are also vastly improved on their defensive positioning from this time last year. Very nice 3 game package and hopefully Deluca here we come.

If we continue to get the 2nd half of last season and the first few games this year Bogosian, we need to protect him. If we get TrueBlueGED's Bogo, then we have to decide which forward we'd rather keep.
-
Well I can't give you all the credit, I actually DVR'd both games so as much as you seeing them assisted, I'm guessing our chemistry of me missing the games live helped. If we could get the continued outstanding play of Foligno and the Dmen, plus the awesome coaching of DDB, we should be fine to even this season series with the Wild.

My attempt at humor wasn't meant for you nor was I meaning to hit one of your buttons, apologies if it was taken that way.

Actually my youngest child is older than you, maybe I'll buy you a drink someday if you're really old enough.

It always amuses me when I read these player opinions because if someone likes somebody for whatever reason, they just seem to easily forget all the bad things they do and remember the 1 or 2 things a game they did well. On the other hand if for whatever reason someone doesn't like somebody, Bogosian, Gorges, Foligno, Kane, Franson etc.... it doesn't matter about all the other 99 things they did well in a game, they only remember the one blunder or a particular habit that they don't like and are completely unforgiving about it. On Foligno, my opinion is last year at this time he had no idea what was expected of him, he never had a system or line mates he meshed with and then he teamed up with Gionta and Larry and he's been progressing and playing better and better probably because he understands his role. His skating has improved, he backs up his teammates and he's a tenacious forechecker. Give him a chance to keep developing and he'll be fine. Actually where is Dudacek??? Also, you young guys with around 21,000 posts, you do know there are girls out there in the world, don't you???

Major Kudos inkman

Ding Ding Ding I think we have a winner

I went to the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon concert in the Aud I think it was around 1973. Great show. 1st half was their older material at the time and the 2nd half of the show was the album. The girl was awesome though I don't have a clue what her name was.
-
Funny you said that because I thought Ennis was the driving force on that line and they played well but Samson was the 3rd wheel. Both his points were off the power play, his 5v5 still leaves a lot to be desired. Unless he improves drastically, back to wing he goes as soon as Jack comes back.

Maybe when McCabe quits playing like dung, Franson getting all the blame on that pairing but Jake is the one making most of the critical mistakes. As bad as this board thinks we're doing, the boys are only 2 points out of 8 in the conference while also playing the least amount of games. A win against the Jets puts us right where we were hoping to start the season before the injury fiascos struck. And may I say this is without 2 of the top 6 out and almost 1/2 our games played with the backup GK

As my mom used to say on Thanksgiving, "too much pi for you boy" -
And I thought it was me but I will excuse myself because I am a neophyte compared to you in posts but it looks like others are after your crown!!! Go Sabres, hopefully a home game can cure some temporary ills.

Does anyone truly believe the coach says "don't possess the puck, just throw it out past the blue line and while you're at it, make a couple of stupendously stupid penalties in the last 5 minutes just for fun"???   That's how you become a NHL coach????? Really???
-
With the Sunday paper or with a Nook???
-
I'm with you, the impatience on this site is undeniable. The season is still young, there is improvement in the Defense getting the puck up the ice (yes the 3rd period yesterday wasn't good) and Moulson is a new man this year. Enjoy the ride, we are not winning the Cup this year. First game was a mourning experience for Eichel, Kane goes down and ROR is still not up to par. Kuli is also out, so I give them a pass. 4 Road games and we get 4 points although it could have should have been 6. Not a horrendous start. Lets see how they play at home against the improved Wild.

I haven't agreed with you 2 guys much lately but I am in total agreement with you on these. -
Yes you have your supposed SUPASTA Reinhart with one of the stupidest, needless penalties at the end of the game and you blame the coach?????
-
I completely agree with this. I'm not as sure as some that he's an NHL center. Although I'll be the first to admit I am wrong and hoping that I am. He'll definitely be on my radar to see how he does. He has the skills I just don't see the explosion in his game. Again I'm hoping I'm very wrong.
-
Bogo for Myers 2.0??? Not that I'd be totally against that but I haven't yet decided what type of Dman GMTM covets. Is it the Boston model of big, burly defensive minded guys or a Stars model of fast and agile. Hamilton numbers look enticing but why would Boston give up on him at such a young age and then Calgary after just over a year, why are they shopping him. I haven't seen enough of Flames games to give you an honest answer. I've been concentrating my non-Sabre games to the Ducks and watching Fowler. And my opinion of him is say what you want but they aren't going to give him away, he is possibly their best defenseman.

All of this is true and bad habits are hard to kick once you get older. Salt intake is a big contributor to high blood pressure although far from the only thing. There is a lot more salt and sugar in your everyday diet than you might think. It's not just the extra you pour on your foods
-
I agree less smallish and more wussiness is his issue.
-
Or maybe he's not quite the star you envisioned yet. Young player, still needs developing, still needs to learn the trade in the NHL, who woulda thought that???
