See response to Flagg. Not sure why people love this guy now? I found him a complete waste of roster space. This guy blew so many chances to score when he had opportunity it was mind boggling to me. Let's see how he pans out in Pittsburgh. Glad he's gone! -

Why? I couldn't stand Erod. Waste of roster space. I think the only reason he ever made it to this organization was because he was Jack's College buddy and teammate. He has been dealt to a contender now and if they do get a Cup it will sicken me. Guys like Gilbert Perreault don't get one and Erod getting one would bother me. Could not stand him as a player. Hey, if you liked him, sorry he got dealt. I'll sleep well tonight thanks! -

I will be sick to my stomach if ERod ends up with a Cup ring out of this- hope he ends up in Scranton! Seriously, this would sicken me if he gets a ring. -
Trade: Wayne Simmonds to Sabres for a Conditional 2021 5th
eman replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
ain't that the truth! Just let Risto direct some bombs toward the net and let Wayne mop up the garbage!!! I'm looking forward to seeing what he's got left. -

I think we may be pleasantly surprised at Simmonds contribution (especially in front of the opposing net) I'll be surprised if he doesn't help this club out in the remaining 20 games. -
No. This club has done this all season and the Sabrespacers get pumped after a game like this, only to watch them lay a giant egg against an opponent they should beat. I totally expect this pattern to continue as they have not given me a reason to expect otherwise. They are done for this season as the teams above them would need to collapse completely for Buffalo to crawl back in. I don't believe it will happen. I do hope the Sabres build on their decent play and finish strongly but I can see another let down or "reality check" coming shortly.

I'm giving him one more off season to right this ship. Only because he inherited some garbage contracts from his predecessor and because there are some good youthful pieces in Rochester and the organisation. If they are in the same position this time next year, he must absolutely go. (and if they are, I believe Jack and his agent will be making some noise about departing as well, maybe not that we'll know about, but I can't believe Jack will want to stay if this repeats itself next year- how could he?) Here's hoping he can swing a deal or 2 that makes this club more competitive.

Not sure why they won't give Hammond a shot in one of these games to see if any "Hamburgler Magic" may be left?

True. Sabre jersey's should read: "Property of The Ottawa Senators"- since they keep getting owned by them.

GDT: Colorado at Buffalo, Feb. 4, 2020, 7:08 p.m. ET (MSG)

1-3 on this very important home stand! That says it all folks! -
That may be the "blockbuster deal" we have been waiting on. Sad to say, but realistically you get rid of an increasingly unhappy player (I am guessing- hey how could he not be??) and Buffalo can get a lot for him in the deal, so perhaps, this is the one that materializes. Hard to conceive, but the franchise may be better for it in the long run, depending on what comes back. I think the Sabres would easily get more back then Jack and whomever goes with him. I don't want to see Jack go but this may be the deal coming that changes things. Turgeon got dealt, Mogilny etc. It could happen.
-
Maybe that request would finally get TPegs attention as to the #### show he keeps assembling season after season after season. I for one, do not blame Jack one damn bit. There will be no playoffs next season, not with JBots at the helm. He will have to pull off some doosey deals this off season to get there and I just cannot see players wanting to come here when they some competing offers from other clubs. As for trading??? Who wants what we have? Who would they be willing to part with for what we can give them??? I am betting still another 2-3 seasons away from a playoff sniff.

This sounds shady in my opinion. Yes, you can easily be more specific.
-
There could be something to your point because I can't see Peter DeBoer making Vegas any better than Gallant can. You may be able to add DeBoer's name to your list. However Vigneault in Philly, Quenneville in Florida, Keefe in Toronto.......................so you just never know.
-
Most likely, unless he is another Babcock and we just don't know that yet?
-
Not buying it. Sorry. So you hire Peter DeBoer as your improved coach??????? I can't see it.
-
In total agreement with you. I'm betting something else went on. Maybe he too, is kind of abusive as a coach and #### was going to hit the fan shortly. Time will tell. Gerard can be an intense kind of guy. I like him as a coach but who knows? Can't believe it's because ownership thinks his performance is lacking.
-
Las Vegas is crazy. They took a page from Florida. Got rid of Gallant way too early. I'm sorry, DeBoer is the improvement????? I'm betting not!!! DeBoer is one guy I never want to see behind the Sabres bench. But nice to know Gerard is available once again. I wonder if there is more to this as he took them to the damn Cup finals in their inaugural season. Wow, seriously a "what have you done for me lately"? league. This guy is a good coach.

GDT Sunday January 12th Sabres at Detroit 5pm MSG, WGR
eman replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
and????????????????????????? I know what you're aiming at!!!!! (and I'm not against it) -
I'll take Lazar any day of the week over Rodrigues. To me, stronger on the puck and Lazar has better hands and will use the body. Not sure why he isn't in the lineup all the time under Coach Ralph. I've seen enough of Evan. He can go.
