Entertaining is a good first step. If anyone on here said that is all they need to be happy, they’re liars. The whole goal for any sports team is to win and no sports fan doesn’t want their team to win

Oh I agree. That was obvious with the Sabres trying to court Murray. The problem they had (and will have going forward) is Murray didn’t want the come to the Sabres. The team is not well respectful throughout the league for obvious reasons. It will take time to prove the front office and team are stable

There is a reason why Adams brought in league minimum players last season and it wasn’t because those players he wanted on the team. The pegulas may not be “limiting payroll” but there is no doubt in my mind that they are keeping the purse strings pulled tight. I’m sure Adams doesn’t have free reign and has to justify every single hire he does with the Pegulas. he also knows that he will have to pay these kids good money in the very near future to keep them on the Sabres. That is why he’s staying at the cap floor. Until the crowds start to come back and the team starts to turn a profit, they will control the money Adans is spending. The one sure fire way to bring people back to the arena is to win

Well because their depth is playing in the NHL. the cupboards are bare and it’s going to be a while to fill them back up. That is also a concern I have. This team will get better but they will also get injured. With very little depth waiting in the wings, injuries can sink a team quick

Damn good question. It really seems to me that Adams focused on offense because scoring goals is fun and may attract fans back to the arena. Plus sometimes if you score enough goals you’ll win even with par to subpar defense/goaltending. Hopefully the way the kids are playing will have some vets around the league to reconsider the Sabres.

The Bills are in the drivers seat again. They can’t let the foot of the pedal. I hope Frazier has the Bengals defense on repeat to learn how to absolutely destroy KC’s offense

Development seems to be going well which is great. Makes games fun to watch again. The Sabres can only do so much with development. This off season is where we see if Adams can do his actual job. His first test is to convince Levi to not play his senior year. this is where Adams makes or breaks this team.

Adams definitely proved his loyalty to the Pegula’s and that will carry him farther if things don’t go as planned. Will keeping Adams In place for a while show the league there is some stability in Buffalo? 🤷‍♂️ Time will tell

Hopefully that will start changing with Adams in charge 🤞. As long as the Pegula’s don’t to continue to change coaching and GM’s as often as they change underwear. The Pegulas need to “trust the process” also and let Adams plan play out. I just don’t know how long you let it play out if things don’t continue to get better

Imo, the #1 priority of any professional sports team should be to win. You can prioritize player development also but if these highly competitive athletes don’t prioritize winning then what good are they? We’ve seen what not prioritizing winning is like the last couple seasons.

UPL sucks but doesn’t suck as bad as Dell. He seriously couldn’t stop beach balls last season for the Sabres
