This is going to be a true test for the Sabres. The game against the Caps, the flames had 12 SOG in the first 10 minutes. -
Dahlin weakly push it because he was falling down while stretching to reach the puck. It’s not like he was on top of the puck. Power was just standing in front of the net with two Tampa players. That goal was 100% him fault. just finished watching the game since I fell asleep. Good win but that top line really needs to figure it out. Hopefully Samuelson isn’t made of glass.

Exactly. They need to play both sides of the puck consistently AND into the playoffs before they become a destination. I’m done with the development thing and that they are the youngest team in the league. They are playing with the big boys they need to play like the big boys. Many of these “kids” have played a few seasons already so there is no excuse. I also don’t think we will see the high scoring games we did last season. I have a few reasons for this. First, teams learned that they just need to shut down their offense and it’s a win. That’s exactly what NYR did last night. Second, many players had “career years” for scoring last season. Every year can’t be a career year. Lastly, IF DG is focusing on developing defense this season they are going to have significant less scoring anyway. Even though some on here think I’m here to be a troll or a pessimist, I want them to win. I want them to be in the playoffs but the biggest I want is for them to be consistent with both. Until then, I will call out what I see good or bad. Last night was the season home opener for a season that is suppose to be playoffs now. I guess they didn’t learn from last season that every game counts, especially in your own conference. They played like it was still preseason.

John Roth COO of the Sabres is no longer with the organization

Their marriages may or may not be ruined. Immoral, yes, unethical, no. If Terry felt that it interfered with their jobs or their decision making then he definitely has the right to fire them. None of use know what is in their contracts. i don’t care what people do in their personal lives. If people want to cheat, so be it. They just have to deal with the consequences Sad but true. They even will judge on perceived behavior that could not be true. -

Yeah, office relationships and flings happen everyday from the top to the bottom. It certainly didn’t ruin their careers because they will be able to find a new job somewhere. It will most definitely ruin their personal relationships. interesting to see that Terry must have very strong values to be willing to fire two of your top execs for this. There are many business owners who don’t care who is banging who unless it interfered with their decision making.
