Your Profession - Maybe There Are Connections To Be Made!
Sidc3000 replied to CallawaySabres's topic in The Aud Club
Not in Las Vegas and it's not as cool as they make it look...... Love the area, especially Sanibel..... Mom and Dad lives CC -
and you know this because your tight with Murray???? It was pretty evident that Murray wasn't happy with Grig's either.

I have been torn this season, I hated the tank but understood the reason for it. Now that most believe that the tank is over and the rebuild will be accelerated, I began the ponder the question. What would I consider the rebuild a success? I've heard some say just years of winning would be fine. Others say consistent playoff appearances. Personally, if the Sabres do not win a Stanley Cup then it was colossal failure. I'm just curious what everyone here thinks.

The guy admitted he was obsessed (almost to the point of creepy) with McDavid. That didn't JUST come on. He's planned this the second he put in for the job.

The Perfect Storm of Incompetence and the Coming Fan Revolt

Fan revolt, in Buffalo! HAHAHAHA There will always be people standing in line to pay top dollar to see mediocre in Buffalo. That's just what we do. -
GDT Sabres at Blue Jackets 4-10-2015 7PM MSG WGR

Hopefully the Jackets can put us out of our misery tonight...... -
You expect to land Babcock???? I wouldn't bet the farm on that one. I would love to have him here I just don't see it happening.... IF they don't land Babcock then give ole Teddy another shot. I don't want them to bring in a completely unproven coach like Richardson. Let him stew a bit in the AHL to see how well he can coach.

GDT:Carolina at Buffalo 4-6-2015 7PM MSG, WGR550
Sidc3000 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
This better end tonight. I am so sick and tired of this crap already. I just want this season to END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I'll be saying this, around this time, next year too. :wallbash: -
You're being sarcastic, I hope
-
Who's then? There is no goalie, in the system, that is remotely ready to be a back up let alone starter.
-
Exactly. I'm sure Murray believes that he should be farther along but his attitude in the past got in the way of his development. Hopefully he's learned his lesson and will have a long, productive, career whatever team he lands on

Free Agents this summer, who should Sabres pursue and why.
Sidc3000 replied to North Buffalo's topic in The Aud Club
I say try and get Niemi for a veteran goalie but I'm concerned he will want some serious bank. Sign him for two years and see how our prospects develop, especially Petersen. If not, then I'd be ok with re-signing Enroth but I'm still very concerned with Neuvirth. Neurvirth isn't the answer. He's riddled with injury as a young goalie so it's going to get worse. i only say Niemi to get us some decent veteran experience for a few years. He is definitely not a long term answer by any means, just a stop gap until they can see if there is anything worth a s**t in the pipe line.- 164 replies

ah..... If he isn't called up for the remaining 16, he'll make the roster out of camp. Then, hopefully with McDavid or Eichel, his attitude will change for the better and he can actually play in the NHL. We'll see in October...

That is a great mask. Unless he grows into it in the next few games, I don't he'll ever wear it for the Sabres
-
Ovi in. Glad I don't have tickets for tonight's game.... This one should be very painful $100 that Ovi scores in the first 5 mins of the game
-
Obviously he didn't impress since he's already heading back to Rochester. i do believe, unless he's packaged during the draft, he'll be full time next season as a final do or die tryout.

This is exactly why I hate when people use the Pens to convince others about tanking. Most teams that are mentioned in a pro-tank argument didn't "tank" on purpose. They were desimated by various reasons but usually by crappy owners or horrendous management. This is why it's such a hot button issue with the Sabres right now. Darcy regier openly anounced that they were gutting the team for one purpose and one purpose only. I think this is why I hate it as much as I do. If this was done during the golisano era then it would have been widely accepted as a owner looking at the bottom line and not winning.

The issue I see is his attitude, some say it's his maturity level, others (I for one) think that he believes that he is better than he really is. He expects to be a top line center and will accept nothing less. Hopefully with Murray kicking his ass to the AHL for the season helped humble him a bit and he plays better this call up. I really feel that Murray/Nolan is growing weary of Grigorenko. So much so that I think this is his make or break call up. If he plays bad he will be banished to Rochester until he gets traded. He should get a nice long look, he better take this opportunity by the balls

This team will not win another game

Buffalo Ranked #3 in No-Trade Clause Cities
Sidc3000 replied to RonHextallsShoulderPads's topic in The Aud Club
Hopefully the Sabres will become a top contending team. I am not convinced because we cannot see into the future. There is still a crap load of variables that will go into making this team a contender. I have to admit that downtown is changing a quite a bit. That will definitely help change the attitude of the players, especially once Pegula builds the Bills stadium downtown.
