Is it just me or has this down turn coincided with Jokiharu's return? Not that he could even possibly be fully at fault but the defense has not been good of late.

I'm not sure I understand what the guy did that was dirty. He stuck his stick out as the guy was shooting, the two sticks collided and the one stick rose up and cracked the guy in the mouth. That sort of thing happens all the time in hockey. It's not as if he gave the guy a two hander in the yap. Now if he legitimately was trying to fight him afterwards that's a dick move but it doesn't make the first thing a crime. It's hard to say without seeing the video. It sucks the guy got hurt and depending on his insurance that can be really expensive. But that's why you wear a cage for beer league.

Not to mention that they all grow up wearing cages. It's a fashion statement.

I agree, you should get something if you offer a guy an ELC that he refused to sign.

Me too, consistency has been the issue though. A couple good games doesn't cut it. He needs to show it for a longer period of time. I'll say it again, for as well as he played tonight he STILL almost gave the game away in OT. UPL bailed him out big time.

Key word being "tonight". If Mittelstadt played like that all the time, or even close to all the time, nobody would say things like that.

Of course it's not. That doesn't stop the people who spew that nonsense though. They will take and use any microphone they can get for as long as they can have it and if you deny them the mic they will cry that their viewpoint is being repressed.
