  1. The owners of the Pens never paid Lemieux , they signed him to a rich contract and never paid him, he got the team for what they owed him plus he incurred the outstanding debt. They paid nothing in player salaries for years, blackmailed the city, county and state for a new arena. Where the worst team for a decade, but your right, they never tanked. They just robbed the fans and Lemieux for a decade and left a bankrupt team. The entire region raised taxes to keep the Pens, but that is way more morally correct than what the Sabres are doing.
  2. What? Why? Who pissed in your Cheerios. You hate me don't you?!!
  3. It's hard now. But living amongst Pens fans I can tell you that after 10 years they have no memory of tanking. They have flatly denied the whole mess that they were able to get Crosby and Melkin was a tank. So as painful as it is now, it takes but a few years to forget the abuse we are going through now. I am proud that as a Sabres fans we are realists, we will remember this time, and hope to never see it again. The Pens are doomed to relive it, as they won't admit to past failures.
  4. Anything for Flynn was good, anything for Mitchell was good, so it's all good. Hanging on to them was bad, very bad. There are a dozen more just like them that will be around come summer, same as we got Mitchell.
  5. I'm with you, isn't having a Brian Flynn trade a win?
  6. Sorry, I should have made my self more clear. I completely agree with you. He wasn't exactly a stellar stand out on the worst team to lace up skates in the NHL for a decade.
  7. Very sad, yet very true, he was are best tradable assets, that still doesn't make him worth much.
  8. I can here the dripping of sarcasm in Pennsylvania.
  9. Does GMTM think there is a future for Cody Ho? Where there absolutely no offers for him? I sit here and wonder if he is really that bad. Is he that important that trading of Cody would be detrimental to finishing 30th, the ultimate goal this year? Is that ultimately why he is still a SAbre? So many unanswered questions after today.
  10. Your last sentence is almost a foreign language to me, and I like it that way, I think I'm happier because of my ignorance.
  11. Once he became red ink, he is nothing but serious.
  12. GMTM probably told him he would like to see him in net as a Sabre next year, and is sure they could make a deal this summer on a contract. He forgot to mention that he could be spending a little time on an Island first. Probably why Neuvirth is rumored not to have packed an extra bag, or his passport.
  13. Sarcasm will get you everywhere.
  14. Wait a minute, are you implying it takes good players, and a coach willing to change systems to use their strengths to win, and you are trying to reinforce that craziness with logic? That's all unbelievable. It just takes compete, you always need more compete, haven't you been listening to Nolan?
  15. Now that you mention it, yes. Go ahead, bend over New Mexico, Texas has got a little something for ya'all.
  16. I don't think he was on the GMTM roster come Sept. So a 4th is something.
  17. Once. I think he made sure the opposing teams goalie didn't get into the scrum. But that will be the mentality.
  18. They will just play not to get injured, stick up for team mates, but have no reason to play to win. A team with the Hodgson mentality.
  19. He is known on SS as NS.
  20. NS,you make me laugh!
  21. Now I know why there is Wild in your name..... my vocabulary is dated, I need to get out more
  22. Very Nice ... you made me google...never knew... don't exactly want to know why, you know that word, but well played..
