  1. They win the Deluca .500 next March and they are in. They will do it this year, see no reason they won't do it next. I voted yes.
  2. It really is the best set up in the world for this. Terry and Kim need some love for making this happen.
  3. This makes me sad. Then I think, I got to listen to the best ever for most of my adult life for the only sport I follow. We grew much older together. There is a much worse scenario. Better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.
  4. Glad he is doing good. Has to be the most depressing thing in the world being locked up like that.
  5. It's their second three game win streak this season. 7 wins in 10 games in March so far. I don't give them much chance at getting a win in the next 4 games, but if they do they will be above the Deluca .500 for March.
  6. The last time they won three straight was the first three games of this season. Three straight in OT? Have they ever?
  7. Why the heck wasn't he out there the last 3 minutes of the third in the o-zone when they could win one for the life of them?
  8. TNT completely cut off the over time for me. The NHL needs to figure it out.
  9. Every pedantic person needs an accountant to make sure their pucks are in a row.
  10. • This is the third and final meeting between the Sabres and Penguins this season. • Last meeting: Pittsburgh defeated Buffalo 3-2 (OT) in Pittsburgh on Dec. 17, 2021. • The Sabres are 2-7-1 in their last 10 games against the Penguins; 3-7-0 at home. It all changes tonight. One team is on the way up, one is getting old.
  11. by Chris Ryndak @ChrisRyndak / Sabres.com Anderson said he was open to a playoff run if one presented itself, specifically mentioning a return to South Florida where his wife and children currently reside. He also said he was happy in Buffalo. "I think if something made sense, it would've been done," Anderson said. "But at the same time, I'm 50-50 on it, right? I would've been able to go home and potentially do something deep into the playoffs and be a part of something. " But also, I'm glad to be here as well, to be a part of this growth we have right now. So, I think the big thing is stay in the moment. We're here right now, we're here in the moment. This is the job." It appears the biggest decision made during this trade deadline was that winning now matters. If it didn't, a late round pick (7th?) and letting Anderson play in the playoff's would have happened. This is a huge turn of events from the previous decade. KA really isn't actively tanking, they want to win out. They kept their hot goalie and locker room mojo flowing and decided draft position wasn't their top priority.
  12. I watched that game. I didn't think Vegas had a chance. They had more shots on goal but the best scoring chances where by the Jets and VGN had low percentage shots.
  13. I'm not giving up any major assets to sign a goalie that might be around for 2 years. They are a fickle bunch and may have absolutely no value to trade when the prospects are coming up.
  14. I've posted right in the Aud Club that I was looking for tickets before and had a great response. It only took a couple of hours and I locked it as soon as I had tickets. I don't believe that anyone looks at the other forum either. I have posted there with no views when I was looking for tickets just a week ago.
  15. We are 2/3's of the way through this season with 21 games left with 52 points. Last season (adjusted for games played) the Sabres ended the season with 54 points. The Sabres should get 8-10 wins and a few over time losses in their remaining 21 games. Looks as though I underestimated them. I'm hoping I did that again here today.
  16. There are posters on here that are STHs. They ask the going secondary market prices without the fee's. They have awesome seats. There is a forum just for tickets and merch. Just click forums at the top of the page.
  17. Thank you. You summed it best so far.
  18. Very highly unlikely to happen. KA will find a guy he thinks will pair well with Power and that guy may or may not be considered top 4, he may already be on the team. Power will be heavily sheltered because they can. Lower minutes, o-zone starts and a consistent partner. Even as poorly run as they were in Dahlin's first year that sheltered him. I can see a cap strapped team wanting to make a deal and we get a decent defenseman, but not two legitimated top 4 guys.
  19. It's Tampa and Florida and the rest of the league.
  20. They will all be at home when it happens, they will all be fine. Packing your car up and leaving then living out of a hotel room for a month is in no way fun, knowing the team got a 6th rounder for you makes it sting even worse. Throw in he knows no one but where you were someone helps out, add a few more trades like that and that locker room goes to crap in a hurry.
  21. We probably never get to read 1% of things like this, it's why when the locker has a good vibes for the first time in a decade making trades for late round picks that may upset it seems so futile.
  22. KA had to set a precedent to his players also. No player wants to get shipped out for peanuts to a team that has very little chance of getting by the first round of the playoffs. They all want to win and are playing for their next contract but they also hate living out of a car/hotel room.
