He impressed me at this tournament. He was just a name on a list until I watched him in all of his games. Nice shot, similar to Hoffman on the off wing. Nice moves, dangled a few D- men and was surprisingly physical. Nice all round game for an 18 year old.

These linemen would not be of much use on the football field. There are a few huge lads but probably don't move as well as the Bills require.

Wicked stuff! Ontario has sent dozens of linemen to the Maritimes to help with power restoration. We just have -40 wind chills at the moment, wood stove getting lots of love.

That was quite the experience! We Canadians were disappointed with the result but the overall experience was awesome. I hope the NHL never goes to a shootout to decide playoff games, I don't like a skills competition deciding an important game. This was a preliminary round game but last year's gold medal was decided in the same manner. Regardless, that's 4 in a row for USA vs Canada at this tournament. I would attribute a lot of that to the USNDP. These guys have played together more and know each other way better than the Canadian "all-star team" model. The drive back to our homeland was painful, 2 hours to get across the ditch from New Era Field.

Yeah, I was at the three USA games to date and he is their best player. Dogged puck pursuit and once he gets it he is shifty and a great stick handler. He made some beautiful passes to set up some scoring chances. In the outdoor game I felt like he would make a difference every shift and he seemed to be out there every second shift. Very impressive for this level. Now if he continues to work out and manage a pull up.....

I'm going with 5 other family members. I've been through a lot colder weather but usually have the option of moving around or working to stay warm. All of my cold weather gear is with me. Hope it's a good game, they were talking about 38,000 tickets sold as of last night. That won't be the look they were hoping for on TV. That number will boost the overall attendance, which has been low, thus far.

I could be wrong but I think it was Norris and Harper. They had Tkachuk, Yamamoto and Brown as line #1. A lot of Casey's standout play was on the PP.

I agree that the net was off on that first goal. The puck may have been in on Foote's save but it was a swatting motion with his hand.

Risto was hanging around the Finn broadcast centre before and after an interview. My son got his autograph and a picture. That game could have gone either way, Canada's first goal probably should not have counted in my opinion and Foote's save on the goal line looked in. Luukonen looked OK, made some juice saves, he's huge.

I know it was only Denmark but Mittelstadt looked really good. He skates well and is what I call nifty. It could be too cute against strong D but he is a good puck handler. The power play seemed to revolve around him.

Maybe I'm pessimistic but I keep going back to his history of missing 20 games every year. He is due to get hurt and it may make him impossible to trade. I don't think he re-signs here so we lose him for nothing in July. Yes he is a good player but trade him while his value is at a career high. He may have matured a bit but I still don't think he is the type of leader they need.

Only caught the third of last night's game, it was entertaining game. At least I got to see all of the goals. I doubt Phil has any lineup changes, winning usually does that. Go Sabres.
