So true. If you dare to watch this movie, you'll have a better understanding of how hard it is to make a good movie...or a horrible one for that matter!
-
WC, I like you, and I'm not attacking you, but rather this notion of alleged Trump sabotage. It's insane. If Donald Trump wins, there's not a chance in heck he resigns or does anything else that doesn't feed his ego.
-
I’m worried that the 2020 campaign is going to seem like a colossal bore compared to this year’s.
-
That's because he's a coke fiend!

CNN did a story a week or two ago about the little German town his family is from and mentioned it, so I think that was the initial exposure, for lack of a better word. Not sure where/when the snarkiness part came in though, and I agree with you and d4rk, it is lame.
-
That was his family name before they moved to the US. I think they changed it to Trump 2 or 3 generations ago, or something like that.

I'm pretty sure the under 24's must play for Team NA. Like you said, otherwise that wouldn't make much sense. Very few of them (if any) would probably make their national team anyway.
-
Mitt Romney is an idiot. He is irrelevant. His timing is laughable. He's going to get humiliated. Trump's numbers will just go up as a result of this speech. Good work, Mitt!
-
Yes, must be 23 or younger to play for them.
-
and on red potatoes - yummy. Give them front row seats. That Team Europe roster blows. They are going to get eaten alive. In fact, I'm not even sure that they'd be worth a damn as an NHL team.
-
I'm the opposite of this. The Olympics has way too many teams and playing teams like Norway and France just bogs the whole thing down, requires a brutal schedule, and then the NHL players have to come back exhausted. And with winter Olympics in Korea, I really want the NHL to say no thanks altogether. Why can't they do it like they used to? CAN, US, FIN, SWE, RUS and CZE and everyone plays everyone else once. Top 2 teams then play best of 3. Some of the best hockey ever played happened in those old Canada Cups under this format. The 1987 Canada Cup Finals for me was the greatest sporting event I have ever seen, bar nothing.

My neighbor’s truck was parked on the street close to my driveway yesterday. He was taking pictures of it and emptying everything out of it. I guess he’s selling it. My trash bin was still in the street close to his truck and at some point he grabbed something from the truck and popped over to my trash bin and dropped it in. I wasn’t sure what it was, but I was thinking it probably belonged in the recycle bin instead. I finally retrieved the trash bin this morning and what he had dropped in there was an unopened 12-pack of Bud! I can’t quite wrap my mind around any set of circumstances where this would make sense. The beer is fine – drinking it now.

Totally valid points. But if you were a GOP voter, who is better? For that matter, if you are a Dem, who would you rather have from the GOP?
-
Full disclosure – I’ll vote Dem irregardlessly [sic] in November… You really have to give Trump a lot of credit for what he’s accomplished in this GOP race. From day 1 nobody thought his MO would work. There are STILL tons of people who think he has no chance. Tomorrow (Super Tuesday) those people will likely be pretty disappointed. There have been many good posts here recently about what a Trump presidency might look like. Worst case scenarios…he can’t “outlaw” Muslims, so that nonsense goes away immediately. He can’t build a wall, let alone force Mexico to pay for it. He can’t deport all illegal aliens. His rhetoric regarding Iran, China and Russia is just that, rhetoric. In spite of all these pesky details, he continues to play the media like a maestro on a Stradivarius. He’s the focal point of every debate, most notably the one he didn’t attend. Everyone who has tried to bring him down has gone down in flames (including FOX News!). He masters soundbites and does it with no teleprompters, notes or anything, all the time. Here’s my main point. Lots of people think he’s a jerk, but compared to the remaining guys I actually like him way better than any of the rest of his GOP opponents combined. Cruz has anti-Christ written all over him. Rubio is just a brat who’s in way way over his head. Kasich is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Carson is Chauncey Gardiner on his best days, and Billy Bob Thornton in Slingblade on the other days. I won’t vote for Trump, but I would rather he wins the general election than any other GOP’er.

Henri Richard is celebrating his 20th birthday today.

You know who Trump is starting to remind me of? Reagan. Celebrity before he was a politician. Not taken seriously by anyone when he entered politics. Former Democrat. “Make America great again” message. Vague on details. Winning.

Ex-Mexican president Fox: 'I'm not going to pay for that f***ing wall' http://www.cnn.com/2016/02/25/politics/vicente-fox-donald-trump-wall/index.html

Might be a pinched nerve.

No doubt about it. I don't want Dems or Repubs determining the districts. I want unbiased non-partisan people doing it (or computers for that matter), and it seems like the judiciary might be the best bet.

OMG I couldn’t agree more with this. Here in NC our state legislature/governor has a GOP super majority and they came up with some “anti-election fraud” BS bill a few years ago and passed it. It would make proponents of the old poll taxes proud. However, they don’t go into effect until 2016. …and here comes my rant. I live in a gerrymandered district that is doomed to go GOP every time until it gets UN-gerrymandered**. Within this district I live in a very WASPy neighborhood, and I look like a WASP myself (inasmuch as someone can “look like” a Protestant). Back when I voted in 2014, I stepped up to the station to identify myself. I gave my name and address to the very nice volunteer and she found me in the logbook. Then some sort of supervisory bit.ch hovering over the all the nice volunteers comes over to me, sees that my nice volunteer has found my entry, and clearly sees that I’m registered DEM. She says “do you have ID?”. I knew the deal and I thought I was so smart at the time. I said “yes” and was hoping she would challenge me to show it (which she didn’t), and then I would have made a scene. But, I’m a moron. I should NOT have answered her question, but rather made a big scene right then, demanded her name, and made a gigantic stink about the whole thing. Live and learn. **Why do politicians decide voting districts? That’s like letting the lunatics run the asylum! Let the Judiciary branch do it!

Understood 100%. I find you to be a very objective and thoughtful person and I do not associate this article with you in any way.

This article is a complete load of schit. This author is attempting play an intellectual shell game and failed miserably. Red Herrings, smoke screens and outright lies. She deserves to be put in the ring with Rhonda Rousey!
