Solid D. Don't see the adds really helping the playoff run this season or closing the gap with Boston and Tampa next year. Adams had the picks, prospects, and cap space to drive the trade deadline, but chose not to. Will be interested to see what he can do to close the gap with the better teams during the off season.

The excuse "We're building our team now without sacrificing our future" plays just as well in the off season as it does at the trading deadline.

Fans are aware of the plan, but judging by the comments in favor of making any type of move to address the team's apparent shortcomings, most don't completely agree with the plan.

With the intent to bring Schenn back, it's hard to believe that Vancouver would give up a better draft pick just to make Schenn happy. It's straight-up malpractice. With due respect, I still feel that Adams could have had Schenn if he wanted him. Adams wasn't willing to pay the price.

They sent him across the country to Toronto. How is that any different than sending him to Buffalo in terms of distance from his pregnant wife? Vancouver would have turned down a late 2nd in favor of Toronto's late 3rd to keep Schenn less than 90 miles closer to BC?

I think Granato is trying to get as much out of Comrie and UPL as he can before turning the net over to Anderson. As long as the team keeps winning, Granato is going to spot-start Anderson until ten games or so are left in the season. Anderson will then take over and be the starter in the playoffs. This all changes, of course, if Levi signs, starts a couple of game, plays lights out and then leads the Sabres to the Stanley Cup 😲. But I digress...
