    Gionta's shift are so long because it takes him that long to get to the far blue line, slap at the puck and skate back to the bench. If he is gifted with an offensive zone start he'll shoot into the D's shins and skate to the bench.

    Why do we look like we're off a double-header? Reaching and slapping at pucks instead of leveraging for them. Eichel looks so smooth...

    I liked all the lines tonight. Des has the hands to back up the physical play on that line and can protect Ennis and O'Reilly is just a good hockey player. I think the Z, Moulson, Gionta line has chemistry from last year seemed solid. Eichel needs a winger with hands to get on the ends of those passes, maybe that'll be Kane but I personally like them separated. D-pairings on the other hand, nope, nope, nope. We need Bogosian back and another solid guy to oust Weber and Franson. I can see Franson getting better but he needs to remove the lead weights from his skates, it amazes me how slow he looks out there.

    My wife finally felt the pain of a Game of Thrones fan. She doesn't watch GoT but we haved watched this since episode 1. The sharp feeling of disbelief as a major character dies and then the sinking feeling that nobody is safe. I was laughing, she was crying. The Walking Dead needs a good "Red Wedding" moment.

    I must say the 3v3 overtime is great. I'll be happy never seeing a shootout again. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and shouting at the TV. Chad Johnson comes up big borrowing Hasek's slinky on that one. Finally ZEHM-gus; calm, cool and 5-hole. Let's carry this into the Pittsburgh game. post hype edit: That overtime was great but I'm not a fan of the last three minutes of regulation. They tried to sit on a one goal lead just getting the puck to center ice instead of breaking it out and getting it deep. I feel one face-off in the offensive zone seals that game out for Buffalo. I will also say that the refs "were letting them play" not calling penalties by both teams and I hate that. The holds, hooks and interference calls need to start being called. I want this game to favor the scorers and when players are getting bear-hugged off the puck and thrown to the ice in front of the net before the pass even gets there its dragging the league down.

    I use ADblock plus (Chrome Extension) and PeerBlocker (stand alone program) and I am meticulous about white-listing sites that I frequent often. SabreSpace and others that I frequent like ChannelFireball and MTGGoldfish are still collecting ad revenue from me. Some other sites I have locked down like Fort Knox because they insist on having persistent full-page adds that require me to wait 20 seconds before I can close them. With that said I also have some other forums that offer an ad free browsing experience as a fee. I have never purchased them because sidebar ads never hurt me but I know some people don't like it.

    I'm suprised no one on this board pointed out and giggled at this line from the article yet: As far as his current injury is concerned, Kane went down in a 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils last Saturday after a check along the boards by Devils defenseman David Schlemko. Kane was down on the ice briefly and needed assistance to the locker room. “I thought I just rubbed him out,” Schlemko said after the game. “I talked to the ref after and he said it looked like our legs just kind of locked. Looked like he grabbed his knee. Hopefully he’s all right.” We can't have the mental maturity increasing around here, dire times are nigh.

    Jack has some of the best ability to get quality shots of from seemingly impossible positions. It might be a toe drag to change the angle or a quick snap wrister around the legs but when he decides to shoot he gets in on net and hard. We've all seen what happens when he has time to pick his spot, his first two goals showing he has the accuracy to go along with it. I was listening to the game and watched the highlights this morning. That saucer pass that Eichel had in the second was just too dirty. He NEEDS to have 2-3 assists a game and 10+ on the season.
