Updated Todd McLellan OUT of the Running Sabres HC Position

Maybe they should just fight each other. It would make it more interesting. Housley would spin it as "they showed heart" or something.
-
I thought Dahlin started the breakout to Rodrigues on Pommers goal. No assist given.
-
I totally agree they are not on Hall’s level from last year. The voting was based solely on this year only. Hall and Barkov have similar stats but on teams below .500 at this point.
-
18 different players got at least one vote including Taylor Hall, Seth Jones, and Barkov. Skinner and Eichel are at least on their level.
-
Nhl.com staff voted on leaders for the various awards at the quarter pole. Barry Trotz is leading the Jack Adams and there is not even a Sabre receiving a vote for the Hart. I get it, homerism and such, but that seems a bit wonky.

Eklund says the Leafs wil trade Nylander here for Skinner plus prospects. It has been Skinner's dream to play in Toronto and would take less to sign there. https://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklund/Leafs-Could-End-Up-w-Prospects--Skinner-for-Nylander-Faulk-and-NYI-e3/1/96139

"Kucherov played for the Dyatkovo Dynamo in the Bolshevik Mini Mites league in 1998. Great hands then and even better now". Or other random facts Pierre seems to have about players. -
At least Dahlin got a point. That's something. Yay.
-
I know it's not. I was just being stupid. I still don't understand Housley's affinity for him. If they lose this game, then take out Elie.
-
So it's all Larsson's fault right?
-
Methinks the thread title could use a little work

I hate the offside challenge, but that looked offside to me.
-
That made me giggle. I think you mean Trotz and Boucher.
-
Yeichel and I couldn't be happier.

Great vid of the one and only "Crybaby Crosby". What a POS he is.

I wish they would make videos explaining why certain things are not suspension worthy. In the RoR incident, the video would say, "As you can see, O'Reilly's balls clearly impede the path of Crosby's stick. No suspension necessary and Mr. O'Reilly will have an in-person hearing in the near future." -

For those open to tanking the rest of the year, who is your tank commander? -
So I turned it off after the 1st to get some stuff done. Did I miss anything?
-
Obviously the players are using my sarcastic GDT as motivation. You're welcome.

Back to back on the road against a Penguins team who didn't play last night? We got this. Lehner has been great on the second night of a back to back so DD should continue that experiment. With all signs pointing to an unmitigated disaster, I hope to be pleasantly surprised.
-
How is their powerplay ranked so high and PK in such dire straits? If your team is so good at the PP, wouldn't that give the PK a boost at all? I don't enough about the ins and outs of hockey so my point may be way off.

Sadly, I don't think "the run" is ever going to happen. They are who they are and no sense in expecting more at this point. I'm just frustrated and don't feel like getting my hopes up anymore. And yes, a win against Ottawa and I'll probably say to myself again, "There's still time baby! We got this!" Such is life.

If this game were in Buffalo, does "Let Me Clear My Throat" still play down 5-0? -
Oh man I was thinking the same thing. They were thinking, "He's just waiting for a line change so I'll just relax and...OH GOD, Code Brown, Code Brown!"
