  1. Ugh, no...we don't need Weber on a new contract. Let him go!
  2. I'm holding out for a 2nd and a B prospect.
  3. I'm sorry, though I agree on Moulson, Ennis isn't crap. He's just had a tough year adjusting and got a hit to the back of the head that he hasn't cleared yet. To say that Weber is more valuable than Foligno a lone is a laugh.
  4. To me this is worth more than what I thought he'd get. While it would have been nicer in this draft class, that's fine. I thought a fifth would honestly be the price. There's zero difference to me between he and Colaiacovo. Outside of the fact he's been a Sabres lifer. Good for him, I hope he can get to the Cup.
  5. Seeing the Leafs make deals for useless pieces for actual value makes my blood boil. Lets go Timmy!
  6. I'm ready to move on. We've played better without him IMO. He also hasn't had a great fit with O'Reilly or Jack.
  7. Disagree with you completely on McGinn. Yes, he has been useful and a great fit for the top six, but really he's a third line talent. The farm system is a little dry to barren. They have some interesting players such as Bailey, Guhle, Ullmark, Borgen, Baptiste etc, but the main blue chippers are full season Sabres. If you can get a second pick for a player who has been more than a throw in with the O'Reilly deal you make that. Otherwise it's bad business. Ennis when he was healthy didn't mesh that well in limited sample sizes on either line. If you can get tangible value, I'd welcome a change. Moulson is a: Needs to go talent. The rest I agree with you on.
  8. Clearly not, Granlund is barely an NHL player. He's also scrawny and undersized. I wouldn't call Shinkaruk a sure thing, but he has more potential for sure. Benning didn't draft him, so another guy out the door they didn't develop. He might lose his job sooner than later. I actually liked/defended the Sutter deal, but with his injuries all season that looks like a bust.
  9. He's open and honest that he'll get what he can in the marketplace for pending free agents. The interesting area will be: Moulson, Ennis, etc and possibly if he moves a pending RFA.
  10. Colin Miller, Jakob Forsbacka-Karlsson and a draft pick? Those would be the youngish type prospects/players I like. Zboril/Carlo are slightly interesting. Just tossing names around.
  11. Question 1: Yes, better than Polak Question 2: Yes, better than Polak Question 3: Enter any team with a chance at the playoffs needing an around the net clanker with good locker room veteran instincts.
  12. QFT! That was a great response!
  13. You mellow as you get older. He was definitely a primadonna n his days in Pittsburgh and mainly in Washington. However, he's approachable and respectful of his place in the game. He's always been an amazing talent to watch.
  14. It's a really tough loss. The leader in the room. No offense to Gionta, but this is ROR's team at the moment. Time to step up Eich's.
  15. McGinn has been a nice throw-in to the O'Reilly trade, but he should be used for assets. Matt Moulson, Cody McCormick both came back. It isn't impossible. Signing him for 4x4 is ludicrous. Take the second round pick and get to June :)
  16. He's starting to force the Ekblad scenario versus Stone and Gaudreau from last season IMO. He's honing in on Panarin fast. I loved watching him in the Frozen four when he was with Union a few seasons ago.
  17. People are still butt hurt about losing the lottery. Which I get, I wanted McDavid, as most did. He is the real deal. Regardless of the injury concerns, he has all worldly speed and reads the open ice amazingly well. When the Oilers win the lottery this year, the NHL will finally stop this rouse and adopt something that stops a team from having a certain number of 1st overall picks within a year period.
  18. Absolutely! Jamie, we're sorry we couldn't sign you to an extension that works for us. But, we'll try in free agency. Insert 2nd round pick, to get a healthy Jamie McGinn.
  19. I'm tired of everyone else bashing him. So he overslept! I'm so glad Evander Kane is on my team! And Lehner not being worth a 1st, well I think I changed my mind just on that stare alone. $$$$$$$
  20. Dude! That was awesome, the stare is amazing! Ugh the hit on Bogosian is not what this team needs. Prays for no concussion! :censored: That's his game, but he's acclimating to what he needs to do. Definitely a great thing. Welcome from down undah!
  21. Exactly! It would be a giant **** show in Montreal if Subban was traded. I would say it's safer that they would trade Patches before him and Price.
  22. Good pre-game write up! It will be interesting to see how Tort's gets his team motivated in the battle of stay at home in your basement teams. Go Sabres! Flu-like symptoms. In his post practice presser Bylsma stated he would travel and be ready for the game.
  23. Good points. You're trading the: McGinn, Colaiacovo, Legwand, Johnson, Weber's, Moulson of the world first. With gauging interests on Foligno, Larsson, Franson.
  24. The first one is what we should be looking for. I don't want to give up Larsson for a prospect in NJ not named: Quennville or Zacha.
  25. +1: He's the type of player you build around. He doesn't complain either. Whether it's first through third line, center or winger he's a consummate pro. He's shown nothing but class and continues to work day in and day out. He's having a tough year in the stats, but I can not see this team without him. He plays well away from the puck and has skated well with Eichel. Do not trade him!
