I was originally skeptical of Boeser last season, but man LG, you were right, so I won't doubt you anymore. He was one of my favorite college players to watch this season. Close to only Werenski, Connor and Vesey.

OFF TOPIC OT: Moving the family out of state - destination: Nashville, TN area
Rasmus_ replied to ...'s topic in The Aud Club
My brother lives in Columbia TN, about 45 minutes outside of Nashville. The area is pleasant, the people are nice. The drive is great, the travel gets congested in the peak hours, but things are calm otherwise.- 59 replies

Not bad. He's so much better than Leno.

Agree with your last post dudacek. Tkachuk if he fell would be a no brainer. However thats not likely. Latest he falls is 6, I believe. I love his game, and hes a great net front passer. He is the best fit not named Laine for Eichel. Exactly this. They still lack depth, are tiny and their defense is defintely a nightmare. The Sabres are a year and a half at least ahead of Toronto.

Young team, with ample upside for him to grow with. He easily could come here and only be a short plane trip home.
-
That's laughable. He's a perfect complimentary player like Deslauriers is.

Their prediction thread for the draft pick seemed a bit off. Charlie McAvoy at 8 as well as Bellows are reaches. It's good to have another site to read on though :)

Unrelated but on Hockey Hotline on Monday's edition: Bored at work. Andrew Peters brings up trading for Nash again, am I the only one that thinks this is a terrible idea. Nash is a sunken ship and his contract is supremely weighted. Even if for two seasons. I don't want $12.8M between he and Moulson. Nash is a fine player, but I just don't see him rebounding to the 42 goal plateau gain. Craig Rivet, must be thinking about the 27 year old Rick Nash. I wouldn't give up a strong asset for him. Rolls eyes.

I would say that's more and more likely by the day. Eriksson hits UFA, they lock in a replacement that's 22 into their top six who has a power game. Continues to reform their core long term. ###### Boston! Vesey is a top 6 forward for sure. He has a lot to like about his game. I could see him having an impact like Kevin Hayes did in his first season with the Rags. Though he regressed quickly his second season.
-
Caggiula would have been an upgrade on our lower six forward group for sure. But, would he have been guaranteed a top six role, I doubt it. Being realistic, he's not in Vesey's class as far as talent. Vesey is the 6'3" type forward that we need with power in his game. Surely nothing against Drake, who took the chance to get a top six role near Draisaitl or McDavid and ran with it. Good luck Drake. Vancouver made so much more sense for you.

He's on an expiring contract. That's too steep for me. Then we have even more RHD. lol

The last part, was tantalizing. Definitely agree that beating them out for Stamkos after they've unexpectedly drafted Laine would make me laugh all the way to the bank for season tickets :P- 456 replies

Drool, love his game. I would say they are more likely to let Backes walk and trade Shattenkirk before letting Schwartz go in a trade.

Hartley is very terse, and he has worn out his welcome in Colorado and Atlanta. It was a matter of time. He is who he is, nothing but respect for him to get what he got out of Calgary. The goal tending fell apart and Hamilton did not mesh as well as they thought initially.

Benning on TSN 1040, stated that they will both talk to other GM's about trading up or down depending on the offer. Trading up to secure one of the better defensemen or Tkachuk would be my preference to Alex Nylander.

This is a comparable situation to the Cuban players like Abreu (Chicago White Sox) at age 27 and having a powerful season and winning the ROY. It happens. I won't even bother to get upset by it. It is what it is.

I haven't watched enough of Sergachev, is he a more polished Zadorov? Or the fact that I think the size and Russian factor means I'm just generalizing?

I will just cross my fingers until we're up that Chychrun falls to #8. So we'll see, the logical fit is Edmonton. Who know's what will happen.- 456 replies
