Well I would be looking at drafting one of Chychrun, Juolevi at #8, and then moving back up for Jones. That was the way I was looking at it. I'm great with Dineen, Niemelainen, Hajek, Cederholm at 38 for sure.
-
I would be moving up into the teens to grab him. IMO. I wasn't expecting him to last to 38. :P I love his tenacity and his ability. I think he can be more than a Tom Wilson for sure.

There is not a whole lot of difference between Fabbro, Bean, McAvoy, Dineen, and several other D from the upper 3. However, there is raw talent that may equivocally bet he difference. It's getting closer by the day! I cannot wait! Either way, if we select a piece for the near future or trade it for hopefully a (Lindholm type young piece) draft day will be exciting. Drafting Chychrun and trading up to get Max Jones is still my realistic dream. Though Tkachuk proved again the ability to produce when all the cards are on the table!

Meh, over Chychrun, just no!

London takes it 8-3. ;) A personal guess!

I wish they could break that he signed at the draft. I know that this is impossible as he is Tampa's property (his rights) until July 1st. But, man the Toronto fans would explode. That would deflate their Mathews buzz a little bit and make me that much happier. Now I don't care where he goes: Buffalo, Detroit, Vancouver, etc. But it would be amazing to see the Laffs fail in that case!
-
Maybe that pushes Brown to have a breakout year like Thornton had. :P Unlikely, but the thought naturally crept to mind. Brown is a good soldier but is signed way to long in terms of the pact.
-
My belief is that Enroth would be more appealing due to his play in the West than Johnson (who has more natural size) in Buffalo. All things being equal $$ says Enroth is going to cost more.

As long as it doesn't start with Rick and end with Nash, I'm good. I don't want that once great Nash, turned into a shell of himself.
-
Haha, fair enough. Can we just have both?!? :P

https://thebloggerstribune.com/2016/05/26/the-bloggers-mock-draft-part-1-the-lottery/ Has Tkachuk available at 8 and we take Chychrun, while I want Chychrun if Tkachuk were on the clock, I would be pissed if we took the D. I guess that's the only case for me in a forward :). Nevermind, this mock is terrible.

He was a good soldier. Admirable hockey career for a stay at home defensemen. Especially staying in Ottawa for all that time. Good luck in life after hockey!

Go Chychrun, Juolevi, or Sergachev, or Nylander, Dubois, Tkachuk! Pray for a miracle.
-
Wow, that would be a surge for Logan. Great size and use of his body and control of the puck. I just couldn't fathom that. I had him in the 8-14 group of guys. But, top 5.....blergh. I wouldn't take him over Tkachuk or Dubois. But they are odder and odder by the day in Vancouver. +1 for the latter. Tkachuk, Chychrun, Juolevi before Keller. :)

Yeah, I don't hate the deal. But, it's a bit puzzling. McCann really struggled especially in the face off circle. But, they need D in the worst way as well. They're gettig bigger for sure.

He can go to a Canadian market. I have no interest in "The Flower".
-
Or we can just bring back Chad Johnson, Montoya is a fine net minder, but Johnson knows the system, the players and played admirably. Unless he's priced his way out of Buffalo I prefer him to both Enroth and Montoya. I think Enroth will sign on early.

London has this, sorry they have no problem cruising from here.

The Ryan Miller trade had a contingency on a 2nd vs 3rd, Jamie McGinn, and Enroth. Those are the three extra 3rds. True, but they are playing elite regardless of the competition. I would say that you can argue that Finland is coming closer to passing Sweden for the elite European country for output of talent. IMO. At least in the last handful of seasons. As well as competing very well with the US and Canada.

Ramsey for me, but I don't have as extensive a track record as some on the board. So I would say Ramsey for me.

He does definitely lack the quick step, and he gets beat to the outside at times. I like his physicality and he is straight forward. He was drafted too high, based on his potential. I would say to me, I've been more and more annoyed by his play the longer I've seen him in Buffalo. He's a good room guy for sure. If you could get decent value, trade him and move on. Nah, I don't miss Myers one bit. I thought I would when he was traded, but the more time that has gone on, I don't think he's more than a third defensemen.

Timo Meier making up for his down season in the regular season to bring out his talents. I forgot he was in the Q. Yet another SJ forward who has upside :P
-
I love the stats that you bring Rak! That's pretty good for a mid-to-late 3rd round pick. Something to look forward to in Rochester.
-
I love his tape, I definitely want him over other D in the middle rounds if he's there. One can only hope. We were teased a few seasons ago now when Lemeiux vs Barbashev were sitting at the top of the first round.

Yeah the skating has been a major pitfall to his game. Unfortunately. I think I'd rather have Davidson at this point as well! Is your disdain, for the contract, his style of play, his knack for getting nicked up easily? All of the above? I agree, Keller is someone who should easily be available from 8-13. The defense is the part of the team that needs the most work. As they may have answered a few questions, but still have more questions than answers. I furthermore agree that Tkachuk especially would be the reason to move up to #4, if you're targeting an offensive piece.
