  1. Fowler is not exceptional in any sense of the word. He's an adequate offensive D. I consider him the offensive d version of Gudbranson. Shrugs, he's not that special.
  2. I'm so impressed with the D in this class. Bean, Fabbro and McAvoy are all ultra talented. Sneaking back up into the mid part of the first round, which is unlikely for one of them and drafting Nylander would be a home run. I could go as far to say getting Fabbro and Nylander would be a home run. But more so on McAvoy...even as a RHD, he does so much that would be a home run in the future. He's still my guy True, but I'm warming up to most of the D in this class. I like McAvoy, Bean, Chychrun, Juolevi, Fabbro, Sergachev, Dineen, Niemaleinen, Fox, Mete. There are a ton of guys to like for various reasons. I doubt #4 is happening, I just ignored that part. The best would be signing Vesey, getting Sergachev/Juolevi and making a move for someone like Fowler/Despres in the right deal. Not including another offensive piece in free agency if it fit: See Okposo. _______-Ristolainen Despres-Bogosian McCabe-Pysyk/Nelson Extra: Gorges
  3. I just cannot fathom giving up a top 10 pick for a guy who funneled out of the top 10. Now that's not a clear indicator, when I watch him, I see holes in his game. I just don't think it makes any sense. If its more of a pieces deal with Girgensons, absolutely I will. Furthermore, I'd rather sign Soupy and draft Sergachev, Chychrun or Juolevi than give up the pick.
  4. I agree, but the asking price seems unrealistic. Bleh. I'd rather find someone else. He's a legit top four left handed defensemen.
  5. How dare you insult the man, the myth the Syth lord. Darth Murray shall slight you by trading 8 of 11 picks! Just kidding, he is a dweeb, and his quote of being a tool, to not use Eichel as a tool was classic!
  6. This is just the right guy for the Sabres. It is a perfect fit. I would love to see him with Eichel. He showed immeasurable poise at Harvard, and like Tkachuk he works down deep and around the net. he's just polished and everything you want. I love it!
  7. Murray rocking the beard. Might have to redo my Magic Card of Destiny for him. Senor Zero Given has elevated to a higher plane of being.
  8. LOL Burns being available is almost comical.
  9. Bogosian to somewhere, and that frees up the spot for Shattenkirk. It alleviates the PP concerns and he's a born PP guy. One of the best in the league. While sure, Barrie would have been younger, Shatty is so solid. I'd love him if Bogo can be moved.
  10. That's optimistic, I will hope on Vesey for sure. I would love Shattenkirk, but for the price Fowler is going to cost, I just don't like his game that much. He is more of a second pair guy, and not the partner for Rasmus.
  11. I'm not sure why they would want McCabe, they have Montour and the other defensemen that's slipping my mind. Would assume it be more cognoscente for them to acquire younger talent, like Bailey. The more I watched Bailey the more I see him easily playing on the opposite side of Foligno and Larsson and excelling.
  12. Shrugs, there will be better options than Legs for a fourth liner IMO.
  13. I totally agree. I question his ability to be more than a #3 defensemen.
  14. True, that's fine. I'm moving more towards liking Nylander, he just needs to get some size, which is attainable. As with someone like Jost, Keller. I'm moving off needing a D for sure, but w/e, I still love Chychrun.
  15. Cough...Jacob Chychrun, or Olli Juolevi or Sergachev.
  16. Also, its pure speculation from the Boston media. Until Vesey says something directly or Fitch his agent comes out and vehemently says that he's going to open market, it's in Vesey's court. He will have options from any team that has a shot, or he can sign in Buffalo. Murray is a taking chances type of guy, and he feels he's the exact fit in our top six. I love the move, and the juevos of our GM. So hats off to him. I will forever be grateful for LaFontaine bringing him in. You don't get ahead without going for it. That's how you do things. To become a Stan Bowman you have to elevate yourself in the standings by believing in your ability and going out to get what you feel is right. Whether it's speed, heavy, finesse/skill or w/e other build. LA, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Detroit have all been built by strong leadership at the top trickling down.
  17. Me either, to be frank. Vesey, at 6'3", who can skate and work in the dirty corners who also, feasts in both ends of the zone. Just look at Kane, O'Reilly, Fasching, and so on. But, skill is skill so you debate it.
  18. Ask again, if Vesey signs.
  19. I love when every other fan base is bashing the chances that Vesey signs in Buffalo, because well, it's Buffalo. He's going to go to a winning environment. Which is a load of b###s##t. If you ask me, if there wasn't a legitimate shot, we'd not be trading for him.
  20. If it's Ristolainen, you hang up without remorse. If it's #8 and a piece, sure.
  21. Not sure Ink, why trading up for Jesse Puljujarvi would be a bad thing is beyond me.
  22. Now, if we can either take the D in the draft or trade up for Puljujarvi! God I am pumped! I'm excited to listen to talk radio in the morning.
  23. LG, don't give me a dream come true. Holy god, mother of christ, make that happen. I don't need to think about Pujuljarvi on top of it. I will drive to Buffalo just to laugh at the Laff's fans if we can have Vesey and Jesse on draft night.
  24. This is great, it gives him security and knows he's important. I'm glad to have Nic back!
