No unless they want a 6th or 7th round pick.

Comparing someone like Keith to a player like Fowler is asinine. Keith went a time prior to analytics being a key to the business at hand. He also had a so-so college career especially in his final season. He was developed properly and exceeded every step of the way. Fowler is a quality player, but at the right cost. To me that is a non-starter with #8 involved. I get the semantics of winning now, but over extending yourself on semantics is where you get away from long term vision with nearsightedness. Stay the coarse!

Late second rounder and a project D prospect.
-
You never know. Here's hoping they do!

#9 overall, McCarron, Andrighetto, there are assets for sure.
-
Dubois is going to be a Canuck.
-
On Sirius XM radio Russ Cohen said he is hearing Sergachev to Edmonton. Wow. That would be a loud bang in the draft.
-
That's tempting because Ennis is someone I personally want moved ASAP. But, I just don't believe that moving #8 is a smart idea.
-
Juolevi, Nylander, Sergachev, Jost, Chychrun, Keller would be my top realistic six for #8!
-
I believe his agent said he intends on meeting with Buffalo at the draft. I'm not sure if Vesey is or isn't there. But, it would be a forum for him to get used to the facilities etc.

Let's pull a Boston from last season and pick _________ #8 overall! (Boston Jokes!)
-
I know. It's just a Boston joke :D
-
Good, he can go to Montreal and they then can turn around and trade their franchise player. Watch the fans of Le Habs riot! That would be a beautiful thing.
-
Murray should have him select the pick. With the #8 pick, The Southie Buffalo Sabres select Charlie McAvoy from The Boston University. Boston Strong! (JK)

I will be booing Toronto from the four furthest corners of the globe. -
Exactly if the Fowler for #8 talk was true, Murray would have done the trade already. I believe he's holding for what he seems is the fair rate. I doubt he views Fowler as the perfect young LHD. This would have been done yesterday afternoon if it was a "lock". Fowler is what he is.

I would trade Ennis for a 2nd round pick in 2016 or 2017 and a defensemen project prospect. I am scared of his head injury and the way that he plays. While the hit that caused him to miss basically the season is not indicative of him, I just have major concerns going forward. If someone has any belief, move on. Save the cap hit.

Stay at #8, and don't overpay for Fowler! Go get it done!
-
Fowler can stay in Anaheim or be traded elsewhere. God, I cannot believe he's getting this type of press. I'd rather give up value for Dumba, who I feel is both better and has tons of upside.

Someone tweeted out #8, one of Pysyk or McCabe and Girgensons for Fowler and likely #24. I find this to be a laugh. Fowler can go take a hike for that lunacy. I'm sorry, this player is not worth a top ten draft pick. Bieksa and Stoner aren't worth the paper that their contracts are written on. God, some people want a 24 LHD, who isn't a top pairing defensemen to add god awful contracts. No ty.
-
He's a seventh defensemen type to be honest. He's not terrible.
-
Exactly someone who you use as the secondary PP QB, and a second pair defensemen. He's not worth #8. If its for Ennis, Pysyk and other parts....sure all day.
-
Question, do you truly view Fowler as a first pair defensemen? I see someone who is good at picking up the pace and making an inlet pass. But, he's not a complete defensemen and by virtue we're getting ripped off for a top ten pick.
-
He also said that he wouldn't move out one of his younger stars. Stating the obvious: Eichel, Reinhart, Ristolainen aren't moving.
-
Im good with staying at #8. I'm content knowing that someone pretty damn good is going to fall.
