  1. Pu, does some things right, I wouldn't fault the selection. But, you have to wonder....
  2. Cliff Pu....that's a value selection, but an odd pick after the last two picks. Hmm, I'm guessing they're D has been taken up to this point.
  3. My exact thoughts LGR. That's just very disappointing.
  4. I may be wrong, but didn't Murray said that they have no potential issues with the expansion draft?
  5. The problem is while he is a possession teams dream. He is what he is, a third pairing D. He never really developed into providing great offense. He's a decent D. Good luck to him.
  6. He quoted in his post round 1 interview, speed, skill, talented players. That's all what Asplund portrays. I think you take BPA, in most cases.
  7. Ugh, Toronto makes a great pick in Grundstrom.
  8. A questionable draft expert. McAvoy and ....crickets.
  9. Kulikov is a heavy hitter. His offense never really picked up to meet his draft prospectus. Also, Pysyk was not a "Murray guy".
  10. He could slip, he was ranked #72 on McKenzie's board. Weirder things have happened. Trent Frederic in the 1st round, retarded.
  11. I think he's a higher end Larsson, controls the puck well, skates impressively. #4 on the European Forwards section right behind Puljujarvi. Skated between Tymashov and Nylander at the Worlds. One of the youngest forwards at the WJR. He's just a strong two way kid. Lots of poise!
  12. He was easily a first round talent. He has very high end intangibles. So excited with how this is turning out. I think Pysyk needs a new lease on life and Kulikov checks off some of the boxes for the back end.
  13. I think it's just based on situation and type of player/fit?
  14. Asplund! YES! That's so exciting!
  15. _________-Ristolainen Kulikov-Bogosian McCabe-Franson/Nelson Is that how it would look?
  16. It makes some sense. He'll fit on the second pair pretty well. Hmm.
  17. He's in the handful of guys I like at that pick. I do love Asplund and Grundstrom. But, with Nylander it has to be D at least in the 2nd round. Maybe I'm wrong, Murray/Royce will get who they feel is the best fit.
  18. Dineen, Hajek, Niemaleinen, Clague, Fox, Cederholm, Girard, Mete. There are guys for sure. It depends what you're looking for.
  19. I think Reimer fits with St Louis before Johnson. Reimer went to the west coast and played really well in his 8-10 starts.
  20. We'll see who falls in short order to #38. Hopefully it's a steal! I'm pumped for day two action. Maybe we can pop Fowler for an actual realistic trade. For all those Anaheim Ducks fans who were saying no go without #8, I laughed so hard. Draft starts at 10AM EST. Just a bunch of crap like last year. What else is new. Pascal Laberge, Asplund, Abrahmov, so much better value on the board. McAvoy, was such a good pick for them though. Ugh. But, that's fine. Things don't materialize when you have other GM's holding unrealistic expectations on return. I don't think you overpay for Fowler. Who else is available that you think was worth giving up a major overpay. I would say Shattenkirk is the only guy for that explanation. But, again RHD.
  21. Okay True, I did a lot of looking, you were right. What an exciting pick. I just had my head so in the D need. He definitely was the BPA, maybe a slight tick over Sergachev.
  22. 1 year deal in NYI for like 2.5-3.0.
  23. Button stated: A projected to be a third line center, needs to work on skating. Not a scorer. Shrugs. Weird.
  24. Trent Frederic? I'm lost once again with a Boston pick.
  25. Unless they take Ennis, I don't get it.
