Two years of Bogosian 6th 2018 for 3 years of Smith and 3rd in 2019? I'd do that.
-
Such a great game for Eichhart.
-
ROR also slamming the door shut on any rumors. Unless, we get a shock to the system with premier assets!
-
Jordan Nolan, puke!
-
It is definitely possible. Just as it is possible that Okposo finally got his jump back. All the "crap" that comes with concussions can just take the game out of you for a while and it is different for each player. I know I was bashing him at the beginning of the season. He's starting to return on his contract. Keep plugging away Kyle! I know I only want to root for you. It's just crap that "our team", has to take so long to gel and by the time it's ready for it, we're completely out of it with no light both in the standings and games left.
-
Nope Liger, his first half of the season was depressing. It makes me think, was there some sort of external pressure on him, or did he just lose the fun/love for the game for a moment.
-
Evander Kane, wake up boy! You need to get your ass traded!
-
He takes over the mantle of Chris Kelly one of if not the biggest bird in recent history.
-
Meh, sorry. The Sabres need to develop and continue to purge. To me not only is this lateral, it is more of the same, patching things together. BLOW IT UP!
-
The Rangers expecting to get a return similar to Kane for a 33 year old who has been average at best is laughable. They must think Nash is still the 27 year old they originally traded for. He's as far from that player as you can think. The only difference may be control of the puck, but you're not looking for Rick Nash or Evander Kane to skate the puck up the ice.
-
Well personally if his agent was told via Fletcher that they could individually seek out a trade, it cannot be for much. Maybe see if Falk plus a conditional 7th works and go from there. I'm ready to move on from Beaulieu as much as the next. As much as Beaulieu has been garbage, it was still worth the gamble. They Sabres will definitely be able to replenish that on someone who expires at the deadline or elsewhere depending on prices.

If Anaheim really ends up with Dahlin, I'm going to seriously blow a gasket. That would be asinine.

Mike Reilly's name is out there. Anything here we could scratch out for nothing? Less of Falk, more of someone young who can push the puck?

Baptiste means more of Nolan. I don't get Housley's apprehension to speed versus "Jordan Nolan's", lack of everything game.- 285 replies

Plus, the added bonus that Pommer at least stays healthy. Eventually Ennis will crumble like the sheet of glass he is. I'm glad he's been sort of healthy this season. Though this team could use Foligno's grit. I'd make this trade each and every time of course. We're done with Moulson, Pommer next season and that's at least 11M off the cap. I also like that Botterill has not flinched or made a panic move to tide over a frustrated fanbase. In the long run, handle it slowly and matriculate assets.

The Birthday game is always special. This should actually be a colossal drubbing, but I'm going to watch as faithful as ever. It would be nice to trade E Kane today! Make it happen!- 285 replies

As far as St Louis goes, to me it would have to include Vince Dunn. The other assets: Kyrou and Thomas specifically would be great additions with top six potential. As would Kostin on the wing. However, Dunn would be the key addition.
-
Exactly, he should be used more than Falk, Gorges, Fedun (when / if back) and Nelson for sure.
-
He won't get fired in his first season for sure. He'll be here through at "least" 2018-19. There's little doubt that the "attacking, aggressive defense entering the zone", has been non-existent. We have players who have no literal experience (Antipin) wanting out for lack of playing time. To be blunt, what has he shown to be given the right to earn that playing time. Now, don't get me wrong Antipin should be playing over: Falk, Fedun, Nelson, Gorges for sure.
-
Zing, well that's not going to happen. Zemgus, Bogosian and Fasching for Tobias Lindberg, Garrison and a 3rd. Clears cap, add's a prospect for Rochester and we say goodnight to Bogosian's Sabre history.
-
Jack with the shot from his point of attack. Such a sniper. I have to say that Johnson was a delight tonight. The defense played fairly well in front of him as well. Good little shot from Wilson in the first. This was a solid win to build from. The problem with Baptiste is that he wasn't really lighting the world on fire and needed to be given something different. There really wasn't any point of having him down anymore. If we can keep Baptiste up and get rid of JORDAN NOLAN who cannot skate or do much of anything, please go ahead and move on. I chuckled at this. Seriously, Nolan has the foot speed of Derian Hatcher. What was he doing outside of making the entry pass. :P

This is how I feel, however it would be great to get something back in regards to this. If someone wants him for his style and feels he's a fit at only 27 and can revive his injury riddled career, all the more power to him. The Sabres need to acquire younger defensemen / draft and develop them.
-
He's behind Pu, Bailey and Nylander for me and falling possibly as far back as behind Olofsson. The speed is great, but he has regressed from a few seasons ago. Here's hoping he can prove that his skating and timing can put some goals into the net. We need some more speed up top for sure. Forcing a player back and not having to watch scrubs like Nolan again.

If Fabbro is available and we don't take it and run, I will be pissed! If the LA Kings want Bogosian for Pearson (who is a useful player) then we HAVE to do this. I just noticed this is from the Fourth Period, which isn't that great a source. However, I'd rather let Kane walk in UFA than let a Bogosian deal fall apart.

We'll see him on a different team come March 1st. Not only did Botterill not extend him long term, but he didn't give him more than a year. This will be Ullmark's crease next season.
