  1. This is correct, but once Nash drifts out of the list, then you have Kane suitors stepping up. Still plenty of time to get a solid return.
  2. O'Regan, Ferraro, 2nd is fine by me.
  3. Randall, this is a piece that could be published. It was amazing. Spot on and precise! Thank you.
  4. If he stayed healthy, perhaps that might be the problem. Has he played a full 82 games yet for the Sabres over the two plus seasons at this point.
  5. Wilson screams as a guy that is part of the culture shift that was needed. This was a sneaky good move from Botterill and has been playing dividends. He's someone who scores in small bunches works with his line mates and skates well. With Rodrigues and potentially Girgensons you can have a pesky line that works really well together. Ideally I'd like to keep all three. Now, if we get an offer that is legitimate on improvement long term, you listen. Nelson has a nice inlet pass and has shown poise. While I've liked what I've seen, I still feel that there's more here needed for JAG.
  6. It really is starting to feel like the Sabres are getting past over for less likely costing talent by teams that fit our likely landing spots for talent. Now this could just be smoke before the fire. Evander Kane will still be traded. It's the other lesser talents I'm starting to think we're stuck with. I'm going to take w/e I can get and move on. It's time to carve this team up.
  7. Raanta will require more than 2M per season to sign him. He's having a sneaky strong season for the worst team in the NHL. He's going to easily top Hutton in that price range. I personally view it as: Raanta, Grubauer, Mrazek, Kuemper, Hutton, Dell, etc. I'm not all that interested in Hutton (33) and Dell (29) as they are up their in age with no predictability in starting. Now if this is a job to push Ullmark for a back up spot, then Dell / Kuemper make the most sense. Raanta has earned the right to be called a #1 goalie, as has Mrazek to an extent.
  8. This Mrazek deal is definitely another slap at our group. Lehner had to disappoint Sabres fans again, getting injured. #Karmaisa*****
  9. For me, I'm more interested in Phillippe Myers and Oskar Lindblom to name a few. Frost is definitely high on my list, but I'm not as big a fan of Sanheim as others.
  10. Honestly, I disagree. I truly believe this was about cap control if anything. They had Phaneuf of him ;)
  11. Harrington is a blowfeld. His signature style is to ask dilapidated obvious questions with very little substance. His takes are as archaic as Paul Hamilton. But, this can be the case for so many middle markets. He does his "job", per say. I don't read him and if I can avoid it, I won't listen to his pedantic rants.
  12. I believe he'll acquire a 2nd round pick or a prospect equivalent. I'm ready to hand the net to Ullmark or another option at this point.
  13. Yes, I've seen Zuccarello plenty. I don't discount that he's not a great talent. This team needs to stop adding players in their 30's who will be in the decline before we're in serious competition. Trading the best rental on the market for a 30 something that may upgrade the talent pool, but deflate the purpose that this team is NOT GOOD.
  14. Gross, pass! I find this even less appealing than someone like Rick Nash.
  15. Correct, I was just looking over their farm system with envy. That's not even counting Sanheim and Morin who I'm not as fond of as others.
  16. The list of prospects that I like in their system is so appealing: German Rubstov, Philippe Myers, Oskar Lindblom, Morgan Frost, Carter Hart, Isaac Ratcliffe, Felix Sandstrom, Pascal Laberge, Matej Tomek, Maxim Sushko, Carsen Twarynski, Tanner Laczynski, Wade Allison, Mikhail Vorobyov. Just different layers of interesting talents all over the place.
  17. I would think they'd call up Gillies first IMO. Unless they wanted Johnson back who was fairly consistent for them last year.
  18. He hasn't been a bona fide NHL'er since 2013-14. Sorry to burst your Cherry. LMAO, he was completely useless in Buffalo over the past two seasons and can barely keep up with Gorges. He's slow man.
  19. I pray that this is the case. As much as the team played better, you don't want to lose your offensive catalyst.
  20. YOU BRUINS!
  21. Nice to finally see Kane back on the tally sheet. Also, good to see Reinhart get points in 4 straight games (if I'm not mistaken).
  22. To San Jose: Evander Kane, Benoit Pouliot / Larsson To Buffalo: Daniel O'Regan, Mario Ferraro and a 1st. The reason: It fills their bottom six forward potential need, and also on their top six. It continues their effort and gives them their potential long term replacement for Marleau. I would go so far as to add a different option like Larsson to seal the deal. O'Regan has been productive in the AHL, and has the potential to be a successful bottom six forward. Ferraro gives them a defensive option with upside.
  23. :censored: :censored: :censored: That ;)
  24. As soon as you have the best offer you feel fills your requirements, take it. You never know when that will be. It could be first and final, or marinate until the ultimate end - Feb 25th-26th. It's hard to know.
  25. I'm good with any of McIsaac, Woo, Wilde, Merkley, Kupari, Lundstrom, Veleno, Smith and possibly McLeod for a rental in Kane. An extra first round would help this team grow dramatically. That's why I'm not against carving it up if there's a major crazy trade for Buffalo out there.
