  1. Yes please! I would take on Holtby in a heartbeat, he'd be a pure upgrade in every sense of the word. Even with him having a lackluster season.
  2. First off the hit was completely unnecessary. He was cycling the puck the opposite way, yes a little contact makes sense, but to bury your shoulder into him like that. What ! Antipin, my prayers go out to you and your family. I hope you make a speedy and safe recovery.
  3. Dahlin, Zadina, Dobson, Svechnikov for me.
  4. Tkachuk was a freshman in 2017-18 at Boston University, so there's that. As far as the quoted (college preference). I like Wahlstrom for his creativity and Tkachuk for his power forward type and rugged nature. We need more of that in the line up. These types are okay if we're past three IMO. I'm taking Dobson or Bouchard or Boqvist over each though. We need to end the cycle of passing on talented D because of tantalizing forwards are on the board. While this is an exceptionally deep draft, we need to continue this. Samuelsson is an interesting prospect in his own right. There are so many D after the top wave to be interested in. As I've said my #2 D that I'd love to acquire in some right would be to sneak back in if possible to snag McIsaac.
  5. It sucks that a shot would end someone's season. But, hah! #Karma
  6. I love how Housley starts calling his team out 60 games too late. You should be called out for how passive and conservative your "defensive rush" brand of high tempo offense was supposed to be. Meh. I'd rather listen to Bylsma at this point, which is scary.
  7. I don't know if we're going to win another game this season if we keep playing like this wet mustard gas baby diaper rash concoction. What a barn burner. I'm done with Housley, it's hilarious that he called his team out 60 games too late. #Asshat
  8. Dahlin, Zadina, Dobson, Svechnikov, Bouchard, Wahlstrom, Boqvist, Tkachuk, Smith/Hughes. I'm really low on Hughes. I love the skating, but I really question the decision making/vision, work away from the puck, defensive game. He screams Derrick Pouliot to me, though that is really low bar. He's a much more precision more svelte skater than Derrick. I just see too much bust in it. I would take Kale Makar over him. Regardless of whom we take in the top ten, I still greedily want McIsaac in the worst way possible.
  9. To me; much like what other's have said it's a tale of periods, shifts, and games. At times he's what we had hoped for a 25 year old who can skate the puck into the zone, transition with speed and shoot with a great point bomb. However, he's not that good to terrible in the D Zone, his decision making can be questionable. He's not making a ton (under 3M) so I'm not crushed if we cannot move him. However, he is what he is a risk that didn't pan out. Those are the types that need to be made. For every risk that pans out, there are two to three that fail.
  10. The Arizona Locust come to the Polar Ice Caps for a flaw out.
  11. Rudolph has a terrible arm. He screams Ryan Mallett. Meh, no thanks. This is one case I'd take Lamar Jackson over him. Rosen is the only QB that I'd bet anything on.
  12. Or just wait until 22 and draft Jackson. Talk about a major reach at 12.
  13. I could say any one of the Bears, 49ers, Buccaneers, Perhaps even Denver trading down. Please don't draft Allen. He's going to bust so hard.
  14. I'm rooting for Northeastern this frozen four season. I love the way Adam Gaudette plays.
  15. This should be a drubbing. They are such a "complete" team in every sense of the word.
  16. I would say the only for sure bets: Eichel, O'Reilly, Reinhart, Okposo (no one is taking this $$), Pominville (no one is taking this $$) and Rodrigues are locks with the forward group. The rest is debatable. The only other name I see possibly moving is if someone really swings for the fences with O'Reilly. Otherwise we'll have different options at other positions.
  17. Josh Rosen, the only RIGHT answer for this franchise.
  18. If we're going RHD he's definitely right there with Hughes. I prefer Bouchard and Dobson to Hughes. It's all about what you want. I prefer a shot from the point as well as the ability to carry the puck and offer the two way ability. Hughes is a super elite skater and has good puck vision. I hate his shot, it's garbage, and he's been prone to making poor decisions at times. Not that I would compare him to Pouliot (Van), but he looks like the same type of profile when Pouliot came out in the top 10.
  19. He's been invisible all year.
  20. The biggest problem with the entire novelty was not "developing" enough of our own assets. As much as I loved Murray's brashness, he didn't do a great job investing in youth to propel the team forward. He tried to speed up the process with the wrong pieces. Once he felt we had the pieces in place he made a few bad contract decisions. Okposo prior to his injury / health risks was considered a win-win for the Sabres at 6M for 7 years. As he was coming off a big season with Tavares and company. However, that turned sideways. The worst decision on cap mismanagement would have been Moulson's 5 year extension. However, it's done in a year. I think I've just gotten too used to mediocrity.
  21. Bradford made 20M on a one year deal, and for someone who has as much luck staying upright with his noodle of an arm, he might be out by December 1st with an injury. Bridgewater had one of the ugliest injuries in recent history. I'm not bringing him in to be my starter unless there is a better saturation rate on what he can do in full contact. So yeah, i will take the relative unknown over huge injury risks. Again, the likelihood come year 2 that McCarron is the Bills starter is less than 30-70% in favor. I would say he's destined to be an overpaid back up next year. The Allen fluff could be a complete smoke screen. Allen has an arm, but so did EJ. No thanks. Rosen all the way.
  22. McCarron is just as good as any rental "keep the seat warm" QB keeping the seat warm for Josh Rosen.
  23. I'm a fan of the Star move as he was underutilized in Carolina in the last season plus. He's a solid run stuffer and is in the right place in his career. The coaching staff knows him well, and he fits a need. He's a little more than just a guy, but not a super star in any sense. I like the move. Williams was always going to come back and Bradford is the "right fit" at this time to be a bridge to the non Baker Mayfield (kids a scrub) QB in the draft.
  24. I believe that they're gunning for Rosen over Darnold. That seems like the Bills move. Either way getting a young QB is the smartest thing this franchise can do in the last several years. Amazing maneuvering of the roster.
  25. This is definitely the case, he's been nothing but a class act on and off the ice. I have no disdain for him. It's such a shame when this happens to great hockey players (Lindros, Pronger, down to others like Savard). It's just garbage. He should have the chance to live without complications for his family.
