Give me: Ryan Hartman, signed 2 years, Joonas Donskoi, signed 3 years, one of Par Lindholm, signed for 1 season, Tim Heed, signed for two customers, David Kampf, signed for one season, bring back Taylor Leier for Roch, and Axel Holmstrom for Roch, Joakim Ryan, for Roch / competition. There's one guy that I'd absolutely love and that's Nyquist, but if he's looking for 6-7 years, he's nuts.

Talk about the epitome of what this team needs in the bottom six. If you can get him for one or two years he's an immediate upgrade. I'm perfectly okay with Mittelstadt being sent down to the AHL for the season.
-
So I don't really know how I feel about this. On one hand, MDZ is an ultra competitive top notch player. However, another 5 year term pact with a player in his 30's just screams nightmare. See: Moulson, Okposo. I'm just not sure! You're likely overpaying him in years to come to Buffalo. He'd be an amazing fit and upgrade, but I'm just NOT sure.

If this kid doesn't make the team, Botterill should be fired. Even though I know this is a coaching decision! ?
-
Cousins was amazing last year within his stat pool. He'd be a very useful bottom six forward to add.
-
Cousins and Hartman are very interesting. I'd love to add them on smaller deals. Low cost depth!
-
He played very well for Frolunda last year which was the class of the Swedish Jr league. His numbers only improved in the playoffs. At this point it's completely fine.
-
I'm good with this also, you take gambles and at this point in the draft you're taking a kid with two years of progression. I love that. Not every pick has to be DYNAMITE. Though I will say Leevi Altonen, falling to the 6th round, should have been higher on their evaluation.
-
Uhm, right. Keep smoking up! Unless this is sarcasm. I like the pick. Even though we could have had him potentially last year at the same pick we traded to Toronto for the 2019 pick we used to trade up and get him. I don't mind it at all, as he progressed and jumped to the SHL from Swedish Jr.
-
I thought we did okay, other than Ryan Johnson, D who should have been Nils Hoglander, LW.
-
I agree, moving up from 31, fine, trading down from 7....ffs, I'd drive to Buffalo from Phoenix AZ, and pack Botterill's bags myself.
-
Alex Nylander, send them that schlub for someone who actually can play at the NHL level.
-
The closer we get to Zegras, Cozens, Kreps the closer I like. Turcotte is my favorite prospect outside of Kakko, but I have fallen in love with Zegras's game.
-
Dach at #3, would certainly be ...interesting. I like the overall package, but the skating reminds me of Couturier which was a characteristic of his "lack" of ability in his draft year. He's turned out fine. So perhaps, my reservations about Dach are misguided, but at #3, that would be stunning.
-
I'm good with this. There's a decent shot a nice prospect is available at 40 as well!
-
I'd be more interested in Kapanen and to a lesser extent Johnsson than the possible ramifications of a Marner offer sheet. Send Nylander and 2021 St Louis 2nd for Kapanen and a lesser named prospect?
-
The contract is 1 year 1M. He's been solid when he gets in the net, and he's been a good mentor for the room. He also stays in California for his family. Plus, plus, plus.

Trade Sheary for a pick, sign Donskoi. Upgrade and subtract at the same time. Donskoi remains my number one target. I'd love to see Nyquist in Sabres blue and gold, however at the end of the day, Donskoi fits up and down the wing depth, and scores well, skates well and can back check. I'm not touching a center until July 8th or so to see the fall out. When Matt Duchene is going to end up costing Jack Eichel money, pass!
-
If Marner wants to be paid, it's fine by me. I'm all about burning the cap for Toronto for the next 8 seasons. Awe, poor Toronto. ***** the Leafs.
-
This is going to sound a bit off, but he's my #1 free agent in a lot of ways. He's the type of player this team needs, speed, creativity, two way game, and in his 20's. Depth is this teams biggest issue. Burakovsky is another guy that I'm all about going out to get.
-
I agree with this, #31 in play for someone like Kapanen is fine by me, 22 years old coming off a 44 point season. That's the type of trade we need to do.
-
Which pick? If it's #31, then it makes sense, in most cases, I really hope someone falls that another team wants to overpay for, moving down into the 2nd round and gaining a third or fourth round pick would be ideal. If it's moved for a forward, I hope it's for the right type of guy.

Are the Sabres switching to Royal Blue for their Jerseys?
Rasmus_ replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Yes please, I don't mind the Navy-ish blue, but bring back the original! -
Exactly, we've already given up a 3rd to be shunned by him. Like we need to give up even a 5th for a kid who's done NOTHING. Pass. I get that Botterill has to search down every target he can, but if we're starting at the bottom of the barrel, can we at least get a European free agent that is a better flyer?

Here's hoping Detroit drafts Podz, because I really would hate to see Buffalo draft a midget.
