  1. I think potentially we're better off in the bottom six. Im not convinced of the defensive pairings, but we will see. We still need another center. Someone for the faceoff circle and strong two way. Don't quite care if its a vet or young player.
  2. I completely agree with you here. I wanted a Pinto type. But at this point we need a clear cut option.
  3. Go and get Necas. Hes a needed upgrade.
  4. The Sabres signed someone named Colton Poolman. Another common variety meh merchant for Rochester.
  5. Sure if he costs future considerations, and or Calgary eats a decent percentage of his salary. My problem with Kadri is that the older he gets the more he's likely to fall off a cliff. I personally don't want to be on the hook for his $7M cap hit in two years from now. If he had a two or three year deal left, perhaps. Otherwise, pass. Unless again, it's a zero net cost and or they cover salary. The guy has negative value being over 30, what is he 33 next year?
  6. No thanks, not with this offseason start, and the belittling comments of the front office. 😛
  7. this is a fine move with the acquiring of a third line center. I just find this to be a lazy anticlimactic Kevyn Adams style move. Nothing that moves the needle enough, but just a bare amount to shift fans from the problem.
  8. I don't trust Adams to make a move. He will claim the asking prices were too high and that albeit the extra early cap relief is meant for future re-signings they believe in what they have. Aka his continual song and dance on believing in the process. I approve of the culture shift and the drafting and development model. But you need to make the playoffs this year or forfeit the right to make decisions. This is your second head coaching hire. You're entrenched on the hot seat. Make it work or leave.
  9. Loved Datsyuk!
  10. I like it. Ive been a Reimer fan for a while. Solid vet.
  11. They still need to clean up down the middle and add another right handed shot defensemen that isn't a 7th.
  12. Glad to see him go and get a chance elsewhere. He was a class act and a selfless warrior. Never lived up to the ability of a first round talent, but he always put in his best foot forward, no matter what! Good luck Z, you'll always be a Sabre to me.
  13. He's one of my favorite players in the league. Albeit his misuse at times in Ottawa, he's really solid on both sides of the puck.
  14. I agree in principle. I assume he has iron in the fire somewhere, he cannot make that move without doing something. I'm assuming we might finally see him bring in a piece more noticeable than a 7th defensemen or 4th liner.
  15. He just breathes contempt. If you want to be successful, being patient is fine. However, knowing when to get off the pot to shake up the room is a big part to the next evolution of this team. If he's not worried about spending to the cap, or at least being inflexible to help right the ship, it just screams "I don't care what the fans want." To me and a lot, enough is enough. I want to see the Sabres in May hockey. Even if we're the 8th seed against say Boston and we're completely outmatched. At least it ends this cycle of moroseness.
  16. I'll be watching the defensemen for the fluidity in their puck movement. I know we have a nice product in Helenius.
  17. I'd like to see them try to upgrade one of them. That's been my main sign of contention with the defense core.
  18. True, I know he's good. There's just the issue of him being on the ice for that stretch to produce that. We've seen it before where some players always seem to get injured regardless of how in tune with their work out regiment/eating habits etc.
  19. I do see that in the metrics, you laid out, I guess I just want to see Quinn not bitten by the injury bug.
  20. He looked good when he first got called up. There was a style clash, I guess similarly to my pessimistic views, I should actually see how these players fit, before I open my loud mouth. He could be interesting for Rochester.
  21. Do you truly think that Quinn gets 7.5? I'd guess 6.5, not that a million is a huge difference. As for Peterka, if he has another meteoric season it's completely possible.
  22. I apologize for my poisonous rants, I'll cool it. Sorry again.
  23. I'm good, just pessimistic on the team lol
  24. Carrier is actually good. He's a much better player than whoever the ***** Ben Menalstyn is.
