***** Phil Kessel! He offers little to nothing. His goal scoring was non-existent once he left Malkin's security. He's overrated, overpaid and isn't someone that even gives his all in the offseason. But, who knows with Buffalo any terrible decision is possible. (See: Kim Pegula as president of hockey ops.)

Jesper Fast, looks like last years Joonas Donskoi. Someone that adds depth and an okay not great option.
-
This team is crap. That's all.
-
Granlund has not been the same player that he was in Minnesota. He's going to be an interesting target, but he's more of a LW, than a center. IMO.
-
He's a slightly better Galchenyuk. He has major holes in his game, is not a two way forward, adds additional inability to play two way hockey, doesn't draw well, isn't a true center, and is coming off a TERRIBLE season. Oh and not to mention he's going to need a new contract. Call me cynical on giving all of that a 5-6 year deal over 5M per season. PASS. Just what the Sabres need another soft, and he's also bitched about his playing time in two cities. I didn't like Tie Domi, and I definitely do not favor Max. Stay out of Buffalo.

Sabres Announce GM Jason Botterill has been Fired. Kevyn Adams Named GM

With the Pegula's who knows, they could have this glorified puppet in for the next 5 years and we're suffering. I know that the Pegula's do not want to lose like we have been. Just see with the Beane/McDermott group, they hardly get involved. Can you please STAY OUT OF OUR HOCKEY OPS DEPARTMENT. -
No thanks. Firstly, I'm pretty sure that Letang has at least a limited no trade. Secondly: Age and concern over health. Thirdly: we need a competent second line center. I'm not sure adding more cap on the back end is a wise investment.
-
Meh - Pass. I'd rather have Lundell or Raymond than Holtz. I've watched more, and Holtz has HUGE bust potential. Shrugs, it's a complete crap shoot. We'll either get a "Cozens" or a "Mittlestadt", where one looks legitimate and the other is a mixed bag still figuring it out.
-
Anderson. Fits a need, and physical. I will still continue to state, that Domi is a TERRIBLE FIT. He's as much a center as Johnansson is. I think Anderson is more realistically available at a realistic piece(s).
-
He's definitely improved, but I still think he's soft on the wall and it's definitely the weaker side of his game. Skinner, and Olofsson are definitely less inclined for sure. This is all opinion based. I'm not a fan of Domi, I have never been.
-
Exactly, not to mention you add in that Sam Reinhart, and Skinner are not defensive end forwards either. The fundamental problem is, that our team defense is ATROCIOUS.
-
Meh, offense only, no defensive zone presence. He took a step down after a career year. Undersized left wing. Pass! I do want to upgrade this roster, but with players that actually improve faults. Overpay for Cirelli over trading for Montreal scrubs.

I don't use Twitter, can you show me the tweet?

I definitely agree in principle. It just depends on the outcome of said "trade". I'm more on the - trade for assets to improve the team now, but also if they fit a longer term vision than 2-3 years from now. See: Monahan.
-
If they draft a forward at #8, and can move back into the draft to get Sanderson, then it's a boon and a win. However, taking Sanderson at 8, will be disappointing to me.
-
Montour should at least get a second year in Buffalo. He was a mixed bag last year. At times he looked fantastic, and other times, he looked lost, and out of place. I like the player profile, but we need to see him shine. If not, trade him and move on.
-
This is the right number for Sam, for 4-5 years. I don't think giving him 8 years is a smart idea. If we're going to turn this around, stop giving 8 year contracts you regret.
-
This is a perfect post. I think a LHD like McNabb, a second line center and a solid solid #2 goalie (someone similar to Jack Campbell would be amazing). Our defense needs some patch work. I think we need to make some changes to the group to bring in freshness. McCabe and Ristolainen have been here long enough to know what they are, and at this point we need some new life in the back end. What we do with Montour and Miller is a question mark, however they cannot be any worse than they were last year. Also, Montour, take a real number! 62, is ridiculous!
-
Go Vancouver! Bo Horvat is such a stud! Trade Miller and Montour and sign Tanev!
-
Lundell or Raymond (First round) okay with Rossi, Quinn, Holtz, Perfetti If available Gunler (Second round), Grans Still firmly in this camp. I'm warmed up to Rossi, and watched a lot more tape. However, I'm still high on Lundell. He's what this team needs and it fits a high-end two way player. Advanced stats are in his favor too.
-
I agree with you Eleven. I just don't know if there is that type of player available for #8 and assets that we have. Our talent cupboard is all either "not A level prospects" or already in the NHL. If you can get Hertl, or Monahan, I'd do it immediately. I would take Hertl over Cirelli any day. He probably costs less too than Cirelli.
-
Horvat is unlikely available, Monahan seems less and less likely available and we're going to trade too much for Cirelli for what he's actually proven to be at this point. Barkov definitely is not available.
-
If Lundell is the least exciting pick to you, for me it's Sanderson and it's not even close. If we take him 8th overall, which is easily 10 spots too early, I will lose my mind. Rossi is not falling, he's this years Cole Caufield (who slipped to what 7th). I prefer of this list: Lundell, Raymond, Perfetti, Askarov, Quinn, Jarvis, Hotlz.

Hoping for Minnesota.
