To me it screams Cozens. Last season when he was bloodied and went running at someone. To me he screams future C. I could see Tuch being a captain for a time though, for sure.

Is Don Granato the best coach the Sabres have had since Lindy Ruff?

I think you can see, that when there is more skill and a few more bona fide top end guys, that he has the plan to push up. -
Yes. Please.

He's my favorite Sabre ever, still to this day. Regardless of everything, I love how Mogilny played, I loved his story about escaping the USSR before the wall went down etc.
-
Nope, Mogilny is the only #89 for the Sabres previously.
-
So happy for Tuch, and this is a great number. I have a Mogilny 89 and will likely order one for Tuch in the same number.

I'm fine with this, gets us over the cap floor and is just the one year. Shrugs, it's just a transfer of paper.

That worked out amazingly well with Eric Staal.

For me, it's really mismanagement of assets from the start of hiring inexperienced hockey OPS from the start, and not sticking to a principle form the beginning. The structure, and then the speeding up of the rebuild the first time (2016-17) was misaligned and poorly handled. Incompetence in drafting in rounds 2-7 in almost every year for an 8 year stretch outside of random pockets, was the biggest problem at not developing a roster around Eichel. Jack has never once shown the inability to not be a staple in this market. He showed pride and enthusiasm in the community and until 2020, did not question things. However, a piss poor run of general manager's, president's of hockey operations and otherwise owners who meddled caused this. The system entering this latest version of a rebuild has a sounder approach, and a structured hockey coach who actually works well with what he has and improves the room, the players who we have drafted and possibly a development pattern. Adams mentioned right away about Krebs going down to Rochester to soak up the new room environment and to be around Quinn, Peterka, Samuelsson, UPL and to marinate in a great environment and grow. Tuch, can finally give a younger version of Okposo in the sense of a two way player with skill who can be a voice to bridge this team into what could be a stellar group going forward. Are there questions with Adams, Karmanos and company. Sure. But, for me, the group of prospects starting to establish, a sound cupboard and a wide strength of depth. The main thing that I've been disgusted with the Sabres in this process is not just letting Jack get his surgery, and causing possible more damage to his neck. The kid had a right to question the 5th general manager and 8th head coach, as to the direction. I have no problem with Jack, but at this point it was time for everyone to move on. Congrats, on going to a stellar market. I went to a Golden Knights game in late 2019 and was surprised and impressed with the vibe around Vegas, and the arena and noise was stellar. I love Krebs in this deal, and in a perfect world, we should have been able to acquire Brisson as well, however this is what we have. I'm fine with the package, and Adams did stick it out to get a legitimate #1 prospect, a roster player in his prime with local connections, and pick value. He also didn't have to bite on salary retention for a once in a generation talent. Good luck Jack, I personally loved your game. However, it's good to see players on the ice that are more about the jersey than the name on the back. I like some of the trade, and I'm disappointed in a lot of it.

Krebs and Tuch more likely. McTavish, Lundestrom, LaCombe, 1st for me on Anaheim.
-
Las Vegas feels like a "safe" place to send him. If the Sabres aren't getting Krebs, ***** the Golden Knights. Everyone has this love efficiency with Tuch because he's from the area. Unless we're getting Krebs, Brisson and more, they can kick rocks like every other team. Tuch is a wing who has trouble staying on the ice. He plus a late first, means ***** for Eichel.

I was commenting on a post, I didn't discredit Quinn, he's a quality prospect. He'll be a fine addition to the line up. That's all. Peterka is the better prospect.
-
Quinn is a fine prospect and can finish, to me like Olofsson he needs someone in the engine running it for him. Enter Peterka. That's my only begrudging remark against him. He's a finisher; if he doesn't have a productive player who sees the ice better, he's not truly effective. Lundell is a supremely more talented hockey player, both with and away from the puck. Rossi is as well. That being said, I like Jack and he's here.
-
Good Jack, get your surgery that you need, take your time and get healthy. This noise and ***** needs to end. Get healthy above and beyond else, all the drama around you being hurt, is pure grade *****. I might be done with you here as a fan, but I hope you heal.

I absolutely love it!

At the same time, when your additions are what they are, we're in the market for a top 3 pick. The plan is to correct past mistakes, and I'm okay with it. It just sucks that you have to wait this long for competitiveness.
-
I'm fine with him going back to school, just as I was when we let Cozens go back to Lethbridge. Another year of development is key for him. In addition, will all the crap going on with this team right now, it's just best to let him develop away from all of this. Similar to Ryan Johnson.
-
So glad we traded this scum bag when we did. God, get your ***** together, and get out of the league.
-
I honestly think we're going to be active in waiver claims and looking to do things similar but not to the same degree as Arizona. You have to think that they will look at any and all options.
-
With our offseason, you had to question this. The Plight for Wright is in place. We're looking to "fly" to the Wright plane.
-
If we lose this kid, then again, this is another black mark on the franchise. Let's go on record as saying this is an important guy to get in the system as soon as he is ready to go pro. We need to stop letting young talent out of the building.
-
Congrats Sam, I really look forward to watching the rest of your career blossom!
-
Congrats, enjoy the AHL. Nothing more to say. We're all of a sudden we're weak on the right side.
-
That doesn't equate to the fact that former 1st round grades doesn't mean *****. Yakupov, was a 1st overall pick, who is a complete bust, if he was in the deal, I wouldn't consider him a 7th. Valuing draft status, means zilch in the return of tangible talent. Also, we shouldn't be giving up any additional assets in the Eichel return. Unless the players in question are off the main roster that are expendable.
