I've been impressed with Varone since late last season. I love how he plays and he stuck with it to put it in past Hammond last night. It wasn't pretty, but he just gets it. He's also humble. Grigorenko seems to have grown up a lot this season and you could tell in his post game after his first call-up game.

Arizona won last night, adding some distance. Nice showing overall by Mike Smith. Now if Edmonton could win a game or three.

Not to be a hater but Antti Niemi is not the answer. Hes too slow and just doesn't fit that well. Id so rather just bring back Neuvirth. Younger, and cheaper Pominville is a UFA? Thats very interesting.

This trade of the four yesterday seemed the most obvious. He was playing very well and he had played his way onto the trade market. It makes sense for the Islanders with the lack luster performance of Johnson, though his last 3-4 starts have been more encouraging. Either way they got an additional asset in a weak goalie market. It seemed to me that Murray in some cases found good fits for these four guys and let the assets be a little more flexible. I was surprised Flynn was traded.

Time to fire Ted Nolan. Enjoy. Mitchell's return was terrible, IMO.

I'm okay with Flynn moving on, He's been a consummate professional on the ice and in the locker room. Those kind of guys can be replaced with Larsson, and others. We're still waiting on the Neuvirth, Stewart, Meszaros, Benoit arena. Unless an unusual move comes forth on Ennis, I don't see anything but the regular cast of moves between now and 3:00PM EST.

Connolly costing two seconds just tells you that Chiarelli is trying to not lose his job. That's a terrible trade for Boston IMO.

Well its the day that we've been looking for: The Stewart's, Mitchell's, Meszaros, etc are up on the chopping block. I really though that Philly got the better of that deal for Coburn. Some fans believe that they paid what Coburn is worth. Well here's my feeling, he's been irrelevant for at least 2 plus years.

Rumors out there is in the right deal they're willing to trade Dominik Masin, who is an intriguing prospect.

The Rangers re-signed Mats Zuccarello for 4 years at 4.5M per McKenzie.

They've also resigned Schultz for their bottom pair. They do need to get more mobile and younger on the blue line. Morin and Ghostisbehere definitely start that.

That's true, but there was a comment in having faith in Murray over MacTavish. My thought is, water is wet. MacTavish had a decent run with Edmonton to a cup appearance. Aside from that, since being hired, he's done nothing but furthermore ruin the franchise along with Howe and Tambelini before him.

Having faith in MacTavish, is like admitting that your preferred source for rumors is Eklund. There is a complete disconnect there, in my opinion.

Could it be on Ennis. I be that's a name that could get some play. It's more likely a younger controlled asset that actually has some value...unless someone really wants CoHo.

Good god, Neuvirth has been so impressive the last 6 games. You start to wonder what would happen if he was the regular full time starter, minus his injury earlier this season.

It makes sense for Columbus because I assume they'd rather pay someone to play, and there's little chance that Horton comes back anytime soon. He could end up being a Pronger type situation. Sitting out multiple years while attempting to come back. Though this isn't a concussion case.

Stewart + NYI 2nd + Cornel for Subban and 1st. While Compher is having a sophomore slump at Michigan, he plays the type of game that this team needs more of.
