  1. Any mention of palm trees on that tweet?
  2. I agree. Funny how we constantly have the wrong players. ROR, didn’t want to be here, gone. Eichel, didn’t want to be here, gone. Sammy, don’t want to be here, gone. Mitts, who knows if he wanted to stay, but Cozens, so gone. Lots of horrible players we had to get rid of.
  3. Normally, I would say he said he wanted to leave prior to the injury. Imagine him with Reinhart on the team? I mean, we probably wouldn’t have Dahlin, but still fun to think about.
  4. I was thinking more along the lines of Pittsburgh’s or Chicago’s past successes. But, still, we can all be on board that a generational talent alone simply doesn’t work. At least not anymore. I guess KA is hung up on how Tampa Bay constructed their roster. Or the Canes.
  5. I’m not an NHL GM, nor do I play one on TV. Isn’t it known by now how to build a competitive team? Is it youth, a “generational” talent, defense, vets, what? In the NFL is easy to identify how to build a contender, yet harder to do. You need a great QB with weapons for him and an above average defense. A tried and true formula that works many more times than it doesn’t. So, why is it not clearly known how to build an NHL team? Isn’t there a clear history of how great teams are made? I feel KA is making this up as he goes.
  6. Are you suggesting you want them to lose 4-3?
  7. Good read overall. But lost at Benson not playing up to expectations. Either he doesn’t know he’s 19 or doesn’t understand Benson’s game or maybe both.
  8. In previous years, this amount of injuries wouldn’t equaled a lengthy losing streak. But we are seeing the opposite. Our depth is becoming a strength.
  9. The best thing about this is this is the time of the year we have our annual losing streak. Maybe this year the Sabres won’t have to play with their pants on fire at the end of the season only to miss the playoffs by a few point.
  10. I don’t think Cozens or Quinn are damaged goods. They just need some extra time to figure things out. They may benefit from a change in scenery, but I would give other teams a discount based on their current production. The only negative with Cozens is is his contract. Luckily Quinn doesn’t have such an anchor around his neck.
  11. To me, being a back-up in the NHL takes the skill of seldom playing, but then being able to jump in and be decently consistent. I don’t think this can easily be asked of a player who is still trying to find his game. We’ve seen the results. It’s not pretty. In my mind, a back-up is an older player who has fully developed and can mentally withstand the periods of sitting and not have their skill drop off during that waiting period. Levi is no where near that point.
  12. It been awhile since we had a “he tried” leak. So, here it is.
  13. Pick him up and send Levi to Rochester.
  14. Well, I guess we can say Lindy must lurk here. Or was this too obvious?
  15. I am fine with KA making moves. He now has Lindy telling him what he wants and made some decent offseason signings. This wasn’t the case last year.
  16. If we were up 4-1, I would agree. But this one is possible to pull off.
  17. College draft picks who complete 4 years of college and don’t sign with their team should not become free agents. If they refuse to sign, they should go back into the draft.
  18. People keep saying he has an injury. Is there anything documented to support this? Did you strain his arm lifting a beer in Cabo?
  19. You may have your reasons. You may even be completely right. But your posts over the last year really appear like you have some axe to grind with Forton. Did he kick your dog? Piss in your bushes? Because us on the “outside” are having trouble seeing the issue.
  20. Has to stay in Juniors for this year, unless the Sabres want to introduce him to the goalie tire fire.
  21. That’s some wizard level *****.
  22. I heard Seth Appert is a PP specialist. Maybe the Sabres can loan him to help out the America.
  23. I’ve heard Dahlin likes to fight. Maybe he’ll throw some.
  24. He’s too busy thinking about the next teammate he’ll punch in practice after getting his ***** gets sore.
