Was that Warow who asked the questions about “guaranteeing” playoffs or how this season “was a lost opportunity”? I know KA lost his cool a little with these statements, and not in a good way, but the guy who asked these “questions” lost a bit of credibility. It showed his his ignorance. Outside the playoff questions we’ve been going back and forth on, one statement I found incredibly interesting was the one where KA said they have a specific position/roster spot in mind for reach prospect in their system. I just don’t know how that’s going to work. There may be some players moving on we don’t know about.

After 12 years, I think fans deserve a bit more than “playoffs are our goal next year.” It’s trite and meaningless for a Sabre GM or HC to say this. We’re past promises. Show me the baby.

To retain individuals. Adams comes across as a team first guy.

Simple. Everyone gets significant raises and fancy new titles. This front office isn’t about who has power and who doesn’t. It’s pretty clear Adams isn’t making unilateral decisions. He delegating responsibility and building consensus within the organization.

Sabres must have a contingency plan here. Adams gets promoted to POHO and Ventura/Karanos gets GM title.

Does this 5’11” foot, 190 pounder play about his weight? I haven’t paid him that much attention.

ROR is a complete no go for me. Not that I dislike him as a player or a person, but his history just wouldn’t work. He has never been a guy who just settles in for the best of the team. There’s a reason he keeps being passed around. Plus, he previously lost his love for hockey in Buffalo and I’m not sure we know the whole story behind his inability to change the Sabres culture for the better.

Yeah, when I think about great goalies, their skating ability is always on the top of my mind. They need to be ripped too, just like the Dominator. /s He a competitor. Sabres would literally have to kidnap him to prevent him from competing.

I can’t see them hiring Ventura as a GM. He’s a numbers guy. I can’t see him overseeing all of the hockey operations a GM is responsible for. GMing isn’t just about figuring out who to draft or who to trade for.

Has to grow into role as 4th line center or become trade bait. Not saying he won’t develop as a very skilled player or saying we should give up on him, but there’s just too much talent in front of him.

He did. But, now it’s time for him to go form his own line. Be his own man and see if he can be the centerpiece of a line that wasn’t already a top NHL scoring line.

Yeah, if a goalie loses a puck in the scrum, I don’t want a bunch of dudes to start making kicking motions to get that puck into the net. It’s hockey, not soccer. Remember Malarchuk.

This kick in was more clear than Fasching‘s. There should be penalties for refs. Suspension without pay for egregious calls.

I don’t think Brisson has the power (no pun) or will to steer a client away from the Sabres if he loves the team. A guy on the fence though, I don’t know.

Didn’t realize Brisson was back in play here. I would think he would be professional enough to leave out any personal opinions in this. Does anyone know if Brisson represents any current Sabres?

People generally don’t understand the time value of money. I guess there’s a reason financial literacy isn’t taught in high school. So the haves can continue to take money from the have nots.

Levi was different. We were asking him to leave college early. We were essentially asking him to become a college dropout. Johnson is a Senior. He has no choice, no matter what he won’t be playing college hockey next year.

But isn’t this said every year? Especially last year when we plucked Kulich, who will be playing NHL games next year, at the 28th pick. Either way, if the Sabres like the value of who’s available I’m good with letting them pick. If they don’t like what they are seeing, then dump it.

Joki is 6’0”, 200 lbs. Johnson is 6’1” at 190 lbs. both are 23 and 22, respectively. There’s no way either will grow in height, but weight could easily be improved. He’s taller than Joki and could easily gain more muscle than Joki.

Levi is the starter. But I would want to bring in a selfless vet who would mentor him during ups and downs and play about 1/3 of games. I don’t think UPL or Comrie fit this description. I would want a 5-8 year younger Anderson. A guy who is a great teacher and who would be invested in Levi’s future.
