To me, being a back-up in the NHL takes the skill of seldom playing, but then being able to jump in and be decently consistent. I don’t think this can easily be asked of a player who is still trying to find his game. We’ve seen the results. It’s not pretty. In my mind, a back-up is an older player who has fully developed and can mentally withstand the periods of sitting and not have their skill drop off during that waiting period. Levi is no where near that point.

I am fine with KA making moves. He now has Lindy telling him what he wants and made some decent offseason signings. This wasn’t the case last year.

College draft picks who complete 4 years of college and don’t sign with their team should not become free agents. If they refuse to sign, they should go back into the draft.

He may have just been brought in for insurance in case things went south with UPL. Reimer was brought in 7/1/24, maybe even as leverage. UPL was signed about 3 weeks later.

I’ve been to Paris twice and came away not super impressed. It’s a large city and very large cities tend to be same-ish. The beaches of Normandy is something else. Very eerie and solemn. The air is really “heavy”, especially when you realize it was basically a suicide mission. MSM is sort of “down the road” and very medieval, quaint, and romantic.

Completely agree with this. Been to Prague a few times, and it has its charm, but nothing beats Tuscany. And Dubrovnik, staying at one of the resorts on the water outside the city, is like paradise. Have not been to Greek islands and not a big fan of Paris. Not a big fan of France for the most part, but Mount St Michelle and the Normandy coast is very nice. Have not been to other areas of France though.

He must need a preseason too.

Sorry, I feel out of the loop. Why can’t Ratliff be our starter in Rochester? Does he need to go back to Juniors due to the age rules?

And thank God for this. I’m glad we are playing our starters in preseason and not wonder which prospect will make it on to the club. Last year was a disaster in this regard. Let’s get the rust out now and start the season strong.
