My guess is Lindstrom will start shooting up the lists this coming spring. Players of his size usually do. See Slafkovsky drafted by the Canadians. My guess is Lindstrom sneaks into the top 5 if not top 3 based on his size.

Of course Canada wants the best players they can get, but it doesn’t matter what they want. Did our FO ask what Benson wanted? Edit: another thought. Maybe Benson wanted to stay with the Sabres (who knows?), but didn’t want his country knowing he declined, so he let KA be the big meany.

Do we have any reliable sources that Benson was told he could not go? Or that it was never offered to him by the FO?

Can we play the Rangers, Golden Knights, Bruins, or Laughs every night?

I’m not going to join this parade. Outside of Dahlin, every 23 year-old defenseman should look like poop. This is why I’m not getting down on Power either. In the past 5 years, even Dahlin played some very miserable games. Package that up with the whole team sucking right now. Besides JJP, every player has regressed, but especially the defense.

But you wrote you would’ve liked him to sit until “Feb at the earliest”. So, given he is 24 weeks 5 days and average is 26 weeks, why would you want him to sit for 31 weeks 0 days “at the earliest”? Sitting until after New Year is debatable, but February is nowhere near anyone’s timelines.

True. Even Stillman looked pretty good for his first few games. Then the coaching of his previous team wore off and he began playing Sabres hockey.
